Top reviews for Writers' Tears Cask Strength 2017 Release:

― Rare cask limited edition 2016 (bottle 2082 of 2640, brewed by Bernard Walsh). This is one of the smoothest, richest, layered Irish whiskey I've ever had the privilege to taste. With little smokiness, but not too sweet, it has tiny vanilla notes mixed with a hint of apple, but with so many layers it really is dependent on what you had eaten, how open your palate is, and which glad it is served in. I tasted much more richness in the flute than when shipped in a charger. The air lightens the taste a bit. Don't run this one with ice. It's definitely not necessary.

― It is a classic, intense, Cask Strength Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey with an elegant & aromatic birth.; while a fresh & fruity life; leads to a long & spicy death.

― Smooth.
