About Unforgotten

The idea for this unique Whiskey blend was born over a decade ago out of a serendipitious mishap that was quickly ‘Forgiven’, but never forgotten.
In 2010, a Wild Turkey crew member accidentally mixed young Rye with mature Straight Bourbon. Upon tasting, Eddie Russell knew this was something special. Over a decade later, he crafted Unforgotten: a high-proof, extra-aged, non-chill filtered version of the blend.
This new Master’s Keep Release is a gorgeous marriage of 13-year-old Bourbon and 8- and 9-year-old Ryes: some of the oldest ever released by Wild Turkey. The extra aging in Rye barrels imparts fresh fruit notes that complement the Bourbon’s caramel and oak, supported by the Rye’s dried fruit, black pepper, honey and baking spice notes.
