Join the clubA spectacular high-rye Bourbon born in Indiana, aged in Brooklyn.
Widow Jane is a Spirit-lovin’ booze-makin’ Brooklynite. The distillery carries the name of a nearby Rosendale mine that’s the source of crystal-clean agua that comprises the DNA of every Jane’s Spirit – and back in the day, the limestone that came out of that place built the Empire State Building as well as Brooklyn Bridge. And the water isn’t the only thing sourced locally – all the grains come from nearby farms. Eco-friendly booze, baby!
Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen is part of their collection of private barrel, high-rye Bourbon Whiskeys. Hand-picked by their Master Distiller Lisa Wicker from the coveted MGP Indiana, the barrels spent extra time at different spots in their Rick House in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Each was influenced by various temperatures and humidity levels. This leads to every barrel releasing slightly different flavors and strength. We can still tell you what to expect, though. A spectacular balance of orange, peel, burnt sugar, and black walnuts flavors.

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen Bourbon 2020 Edition and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.
We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
Yellowstone Bourbon has had several owners throughout its history, including J.B. Dant, D.H. Taylor, The Glenmore Distillery, United Distillers & Vintners, the David Sherman Company, Heaven Hill, and David Sherman (now known as Luxco).
Pinhooking means purchasing and rearing a foal based on its pedigree and either selling it or turning it into a champ racing horse. The same idea is behind Pinhook Bourbon: they source young Whiskey to mature and blend it into a blue-ribbon sipping Bourbon.
Pinhook’s high-proof Bourbon won Gold at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, while the Straight Rye Whiskey won Double Gold the following year. In 2021, their Bourbon War Vertical Series 5 Year and the 2021 Flagship Bourbon won a Gold Medal each, with a Double Gold going to their Tiz Rye Time Vertical Series 5 Year. Pinhook is evidently doing something right!
