A deep, rich, and well-aged expression of Irish Single Malt with perfect finishing in Sherry casks.

Patrick Cooney knows Irish Spirits. He and his brother Nicholas purchased Gleeson — building the beverage-maker through organic growth and acquisitions to a nine-figure Irish giant. Patrick sold Gleeson in 2012 and has turned the family’s attention toward a new legacy — the Na Cuana beverage company and the Boann Distillery. It’s a true family business with his wife Marie, his daughters Sally-Anne and Celestine, and their sons Peter, Patrick, and James. Thier brands include Adams Ciders, Boyne Brewhouse Craft Beer, Robert A. Murray Irish Cream Liqueurs, and The Whistler Irish Whiskies.

When you have a winning formula, you stick with it. The Whistler 'How The Years Whistle By' 10 Year Old is their same signature Single Malt, but aged longer than ever before. The Spirit is aged in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks for eight years before being transferred to Oloroso Sherry casks for two more — and a decade in oak is a VERY good thing. It’s bottled with no chill-filtration or artificial coloring of any kind at a spot-on perfect 46% ABV.

Smartass Corner #1
The Boann Distillery is named after the goddess of the Boyne river and valley where it sits.

Smartass Corner #2
Patriarch Patrick Cooney is known for whistling while walking around and through the distillery in the course of his duties. The Whistler line of Irish Whiskies is lovingly named in his honor.
