Unprecedented Whiskey forged in unprecedented times.

The quirky New Englander and the only distiller with celebrity pigs releases a one-of-a-kind expression each Spring. Spring 2020, however, saw everyone being forced to stay home and responsibly un-socialize. So, it was expected that the new WhistlePig offering would be something unprecedented, like the situation itself. Flaviar Members were given the opportunity to become Master Blenders-at-Home and use the lockdown to create an exceptional Whiskey. The quickest ones got a beautiful blending kit, experimented, submitted their recipes, and picked the winner among three finalists during a live online blending event. Now, meet the winner.

WhistlePig Homestock offers a unique blend of rye, wheat, and barley Whiskeys, delivering a light and gentle sweetness as a balance to the signature rye boldness. The gorgeous nose with notes of vanilla, orange zest, and pipe tobacco introduces the spicy and mouthwatering palate with hints of nutmeg, roasted nuts, and ripe berries. This is a Whiskey the Flaviar Family should be proud of. What did you learn during the quarantine? How to blend Whiskey!

Harsh but flavorful. I don’t hate it, but I’m not a fan.

Very smooth.

Jerry
Jerry,
One of my favorite WP! Smooth, with Carmel and oak with a little mint on the finish. Long draw of heat.

David

Good flavor and easy to sip. Main notes I get are nutty, toffee and a little smoke

Noah
Noah,
This whiskey was pretty good. I liked it. Wasn't too smokey, but wasn't all smooth jazz. I would buy a bottle if I had a the chance.

Flavorful, robust, and excellent for sipping. Deffinately a must have.

This whiskey is nothing special, just another small batch rye with average qualities.

Delicious and masterfully crafted blend. Love it

Patrick
Patrick,
Good but it lacked something. I thought it would be better so it had a lot to live up to.

Jo
Jo,
Man this is good. Lovely fresh clean smell coming out of the glass. The spiciness grows the longer you hold it in your mouth and then it warms all the way down.

Michael
Michael,
Nice balance, goes down easy with a nice lingering burn.

Malcolm
Malcolm,
My wife and I have been sharing the selections at 4:00 pm every evening. We love it. At covid time, it is giving us something to look forward to each day.

Cameron

Cinnamon and rich buttery notes. Very well done, fam

Barrett
Barrett,
I’m not into Rye whisky...I am more of a bourbon and scotch lover. It had some initial bite to it, once past that you can make it into the flavor profile. I had to work hard to get the spicy notes.....for me it was bite with tobacco / smoke up front....I prefer vanilla notes and toffee/caramel so this wasn’t for me...take my input with a grain of salt as I know nothing of Rye Whisky.

Steve
Steve,
Not wild about this at all. It had a weird taste to it
