The second coming of the 18-year-old from the Rye masters.

WhistlePig is shorthand for innovation, pushing forward, and upgrading. It’s also an awesome name and a fun image to have in one’s mind. The story of WP started in 2007 when the founding crew bought a farm in Vermont and joined forces with the late great Master Distiller Dave Pickerell.

They stumbled upon barrels of Canadian Whiskey which they finished and bottled, writing the first chapter. What these fellas do is take traditional approaches and upgrade them for this day and age. Their most famous expression has been the 10YO which even got its 5 minutes of fame in the Breaking Bad TV series.

This one is even older, though. In fact, it's the oldest WhistlePig of them all! The 79% rye, 15% malted rye, and 6% malted barley Whiskey is proof that a little bit of patience goes a long way. Scratch that last bit ― 18 years is a lot of time to spend in virgin oak.

But the years have been good to this one. It gets released in limited quantities each year and this one marks the second coming of this prestige Rye expression. Bold & spicy, soft & floral, rich & sweet... It's a show stopper.

Speaking of stoppers, the glass one used here was designed by Simon Pearce, known as "the Tiffany's of glassware."
