Wemyss Distillery DistilleryWemyss Distillery Distillery

Distillery
Founded in 2013
Wemyss started as a farm, sourcing some of the best barley in Scotland for almost a century. William Wemyss founded the independent bottling company Wemyss Malts in 2005. The Wemyss distillery was established by William Wemyss in 2013. The Wemyss family roots in the Scotch Whisky industry date back to the early 19th century. They also have roots in the Wine industry, owning two vineyards in Australia and France.

There are four brands under the Wemyss label, including Rimauresq Cru Classé, Lord Elcho Premium Blended Scotch, Wemyss Malts, and Darnley’s View Gin.

Wemyss Malts produces a wide range of Whiskies — from single malts through single casks and blends. The company’s range of Whiskies include several non-age-statement expressions, including Peat Chimney, Spice King and Velvet Fig.

What does Wemyss Distillery taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Wemyss Distillery Scotch. It's based on all Wemyss Distillery drinks in our large database and gives you a chance to taste Wemyss Distillery before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
