Chichibu Ichiro's Malt The First 2008
“The First” is the first single malt produced by the Japanese Whisky mastermind Ichiro Akito. He founded the famous Chichibu distillery in 2008 and gained the notorious status in no time. The First hails from seven ex-bourbon casks and one Japanese Mizunara oak cask. Only 2040 bottles out there.

Parker's 13 Year Old Heritage Collection Wheat Whiskey
Parker's Heritage releases are a completely different story from year to year. This is a tribute to sixth generation Master Distiller Emeritus Parker Beam, for his exceptional work that lasted for five decades. This 8th edition comes from what would later become Bernheim Original, one of the only other wheat Whiskeys around.

Dufftown Glenlivet (From the House of Bell's)
This 10 year old Speyside single malt was distilled in the 1980's at Dufftown, and bottled by Arthur Bell & Sons. This is a great malt from the time the Dufftown Glenlivet Distillery was launching expressions under the same name.

What does Vault Selection VII. taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Vault Selection VII. and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most Single Malts are matured longer, though).
Beer and malt Whisky seem to have quite a bit in common. Both drinks begin with malted barley, which deliver the enzymes and sugars needed for fermentation when steeped in hot water. The two go their separate ways at the wash stage, where they're fermented or aged to become the adult beverages you know and love.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Blended Whiskies are the result of years of craftsmanship and dedication. A master blender does not simply wake up one day with a profound ability to create a cohesive and enjoyable liquid. From nosing the liquid to working out quantities of each different grain and malt to go into the blend, a master blender can take years, if not decades, to train.
Scotch Whisky is seldom aged in new barrels. Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey casks are usually used for maturation. In addition to that, Whisky is often matured or finished in various wine casks such as Sherry or Port.
Is Scotch always Scottish? What do you think? Yes. The answer is yes.
