Kyle,
Fine!

Christopher
Christopher,
Sweet, caramel. Strong bourbon notes from the oak barrel it was aged in. Quite good.

Brian
Brian,
Great aroma and was anxious to try. Sweet at first and started off well but took a hard left for me and was ultimately too dry for my liking to give it a higher score

Na'im
Na'im,
Absolutely terrible, taste like a bad whiskey that wants to be a rum. Only suitable for mixing with something you actually would like to taste.

Bruce
Bruce,
Let me start by saying I am new to sipping rums. Rum is my favorite alcohol to mix with something, but straight up is a learning experience for me. The first thing I notice from the tasting glass is its pungent alcohol scent! As I move to the side to aquire the secondary ingredients, I can detect a burnt caramel aroma. The alcohol smell remaims overwhelming and I'm at a loss to identify anything else. The legs are on the thin side and of a medium length in my novice estimation. The first sip greets my tounge with the same overpowering alcohol I smell. This time, I taste burnt in the alcohol flavor. This rum is consistent in its ability to let you know it is alcohol you hold. Mixing the sippping rum may be a sin, but I need to do something so I can get this down. Tasting as per what my pallet is accustomed to, I find the alcohol smell is still primary and is nearly overwhelming anything else. However, now I can swallow it and think about something other than alcohol. This allows me to the recognise burnt caramel flavor. There are hints of banana in the finish. I'll summarize by saying it's all in a name. Van Brunt Stillhouse's Due North Rum could be called Van BURNT Stillhouse Due North Alcohol -- it's lighter than Sterno.
Bruce
Bruce,
I'd give it two stars because I like bananas and caramel. And I'm sure Sterno wouldn't be as smooth.
Ryan

Very tasty. Similar to flor de cana

Samantha
Samantha,
Sweet.

Gary
Gary,
Sweet. Easy to drink. Other flavors come through but nothing overpowering.

Andrew
Andrew,
Something I figure I can sip on through the night. Wouldn’t say it’s my favourite though.

Antti
Antti,
It is a very good, balanced, Dark Rum that has an delicate birth; while a thick & dry life leads to an elegant death of medium length.

ryan
ryan,
pretty good, med smooth, ok taste. wouldn't be my first choice to buy a full bottle of.

Eric
Eric,
Overall pretty good. Sweet, and fairly smooth. Would drink again, but wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

Robert
Robert,
Smooth and just sweet enough

John
John,
Not bad, especially compared to the other rums in the tasting box. Overall though, I prefer El Dorado 15 year rum, Afrohead 15 year, or even Bacardi 8 year.

Rebecca
Rebecca,
Sweeter Woody finish.

Paul
Paul,
It’s ok; easy to drink and smooth but so young that there’s zero depth and complexity. It’s just kind of flat and boring.

Angela
Angela,
Sweet nose, dry with burn. Wouldn’t seek it out

Jamie
Jamie,
This one was special. It stood out as the most well balanced of the tasting package.

Alice
Alice,
Sweet and smooth

Bill
Bill,
A good young rum, lacks the deep flavor of age, but very smooth.
