Zachary,
Sweet taffy shop aroma. Pungent baked fruit, burnt sugar and charred barrel notes. Crisp red apple and musty barrelhouse flavors on the finish.
JERRY,
Smooth first sip with great finish. Notes of honey and caramel. Great bargain at its price point.
Josh,
For the price point I really like this scotch. I used to get it all the time in Lawton, and would highly recommend it as an introduction to the world of scotch
Tyler,
N: Fresh green grains, hay, apricot, apple, touch of mineral.
P: Cream, melon, gentle spice, honey, dried fruit.
F: whisper quiet finish, sweet tea, dried fruit, hint of curry spices.
A light fruity malt with 12 year age statement. Enough complexity to be enjoyed, and can be had very inexpensively.
Bryce,
This isn't bad, but it isn't great. Sherry on the palate, but metallic finish. I enjoy the sherry influence of scotch in general, but I wasn't thrilled with this bottle. It's usually in the $50-and-under range. Too much for my liking, though, it might be great in a mixer if it were available for around $30-35.
guest,
Heavy dose of honey and apple. Very smooth and oily. Lingering finish but not too long. Very enjoyable
Lawrence,
Smooth
Fernando,
I’d been wanting to try this for awhile and was quite pleased! Very honey-forward on the palate giving way to caramel and sherry. Overall worth every penny and highly recommend for those less inclined to smokey or peaty drams.
Michael,
Nice flavor. Good price. Surprisingly smooth.
Scott,
Great, cheap scotch
Dustin,
My daily sipper. Price v. Taste, the best around.
Andrew,
Smooth. Not much complexity. Wish it was a little smokier. Good entry scotch though.
guest,
Richly sherried on the nose, with a fruity and oaky tone blasting out of the glass. A bit overwhelming in caramel, vanilla, and woody flavours, with a minimal finish and little complexity. Not a bad intro scotch though.
Jason,
Very smooth with a subtle sweet flavor. Good apple taste with a little caramel. Very enjoyable.
guest,
Smooth and sweeter than used to for a single malt scotch. Good luck at end. Thicker consistency. Overall pleasant.
Gašper,
Ok nothing special
Vera,
Very smooth!
guest,
Superb Whisky and a great balance of casks.
Greg,
I agree with it being on the sweeter side. Pretty light on the peat. My wife is actually a big fan of this one, and she usually isn’t a scotch fan.
John,
It's a little on the sweater side very good to sip or I found that it goes great with Dr. Pepper.
guest,
Honey, sweet, lingering aftertaste
Rodger,
I toured the distillery in July of 2018. We bought a bottle after a tasting and loved it. The bouquet changes after the pour. I really notice the vanilla and then it changes to a carmel bouquet. It is a smooth drink with a pleasant finish. I shared a bottle with my family last weekend and they loved it.
Mariano,
First highlander tasted so far. Nice and strong, but nothing else.
James,
A pleasant surprise. The apples are quite prominent, making for a pleasant aftertaste.
