Good news: You've got impeccable taste in liquor. The not-as-good news? It means it's currently out of stock. Add this bad boy to your wish list and we'll let you know if it comes our way.
A homage to Scotch.

In 1824 George Smith made a daring move and got a license to legally produce single-malt Whisky. Needless to say the neighbouring smugglers weren’t all too happy about it, so for protection he had to carry not one, but two guns at all times. Imagine that.

Released in 2014, The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve has been matured in first fill American oak. This wood gives it a spicy vanilla kick. The “founder” refers to George Smith, who gained his distilling license in 1824, and from that the legend of The Glenlivet was born. This expression of the World-renowned malt pays homage to the history of Glenlivet as well as the future. It has the typical Glenlivet fruity notes but is also packed full of caramel sweetness. The result is smooth and creamy, a very fine malt to dedicate to a very important man.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Eh, it was ok. Nothing to write home about
Mark
Bear with me; I've been a whiskey fan for some time but my palette is quite uneducated. The thing I can connect to in relation to the above description is the syrupy sweetness. It is smooth to the end with very little bite. I was not all that impressed.

Too young. Lacks depth and complexity.

I haven´t tasted it but would like to comment one thing ... I see a trend that several whiskies, at least several NAS, is more and more sweet. STOP THAT!
Cheyne
Very sweet, but not in a bad way. Velvety maple notes with dried fruits. One to enjoy with some friends.

Very young and metallic and relies too much on the Glenlivet signature.
Nathan
