A delightful 100% Trinidadian Rum aged seventeen years in Bourbon barrels under the Caribbean sun.
We’ve heard a lot of origin stories in the Spirits business, so it’s hard to impress us these days. But the story of Marc Farrell is pretty darned impressive. He was born in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago. At the ripe old age of sixteen he left to study chemical engineering… at MIT. He went on to get a Master in Philosophy from Cambridge and an MBA from some school called Harvard. At the age of thirty-three he became the youngest VP at Starbucks. Last year he stepped out on his own to launch a new Caribbean Rum brand "Ten to One," to develop a contemporary, elevated Rum experience. See what we mean? Impressive, right?
Ten To One 17 Year Old Single Cask Rum is the first "Reserve" limited edition they’ve released. There are only 1488 bottles in total, pulled from just four casks, individually bottled. To create this expression, Marc Farrell went back to his roots, acquiring Rum aged seventeen years in ex-Bourbon barrels in Trinidad & Tobago — where he was born. This delightful Spirit sparkles with flavor and has been bottled without added coloring or flavorings at 43% ABV.
