Top reviews for Templeton 6 Year Old Rye Whiskey:

— I LOVE Templeton, and no I'm not a this-is-the-only-rye-I've-ever-had person. I try lots of ryes, love most, hate some. Templeton's 6Yr is awesome. Their 4Yr is good but a bit too smooth. If you can find a Maple Cask finished (NOT a maple flavor) get it! Templeton is great stuff.

— Smooth and really good. This is now one of my favorites!

— A fantastic rye! This is ballsier (higher proof) than their 4yr. Very good stuff! Templeton fan for life.

James
James,
I was nicely surprised by this. It doesn't jump out at you, but it's a nice rye. Ok to sip, and makes a decent Old Fashioned.

Tyler
Tyler,
Very nice as a first taster from Flaviar, was good to have the flavour wheel to compare what I tasted compared to others, definite spice to it along with the burnt sugar hint.

Thomas
Thomas,
Didn't like this one at all. Boozy, glue-like nose ruins it for me. Spicy and rather one-dimensional. Unpleasant bitter finish.

Curtis
Curtis,
While not great neat, it Makes a great classic 1860s old fashioned.

Joseph
Joseph,
My favorite Rye thus far. Will get their 10 yr when it is released next year
Aaron
Aaron,
Really? a 10Yr? Cool.
Antti
Antti,
It is a very good, complex, Rye Whiskey ... that has an aromatic birth; while a rich & fruity life leads to a spicy death of medium length, with notes of caramel, cinnamon & burnt sugar.

Jason
Jason,
Definitely a lighter experience than I like. Not very lingering finish and kinda bland. Was expecting a smoother finish and longer finish.

JON
JON,
Smooth and really good. This is now one of my favorites!

Terry
Terry,
Like ryes as Old Fashions. This was a nice representation of a solid rye with enough heat for the drinks. Wants you to come back for more.

Susanna
Susanna,
This was the first rye whiskey I have ever tried. It was quite good, a bit strong though.

Brandon
Brandon,
The 4 year bottle (80 proof) is much more appealing but be careful ordering it. I got this bottle when I ordered the 80 proof but it’s still listed as available. When this one is not.

Joshua
Joshua,
I prefer the 4yr vs the 6yr. Their 10yr is amazing though

Ray
Ray,
Spicy at first but sweeter as we tasted more.

Alex
Alex,
It’s a pleasure to drink, to say the least. The butterscotch belies the ninety proof bourbon and the mild spice adds a kick that makes it worthwhile. A must try!

Dave
Dave,
Don’t like rye.
Aaron
Aaron,
You really should skip a review and a poor 1-star rating if you just "don't like rye" that is unfair to their reputation.
Stephen
Stephen,
Smooth and tasty! Solid drank

John
John,
Great taste, goes down smooth!

Donald
Donald,
Strong true flavor with caramel.

Luis
Luis,
A very smooth, easy drink. Combines a caramel tone with a spicy cinnamon follow. Gentle on the tongue, as the legs are short.

Todd
Todd,
Solid, not extraordinary.

Kyle
Kyle,
Very good neat once the spice has gone the other flavors shine well.

Sara
Sara,
*Shaking head* After the brandy, not a fan....
