A full-on Sherry experience.

Jack Teeling founded the Teeling Whiskey Company in 2012, with a mission to challenge the norm by crafting Irish Whiskey with more depth of personality and character than the current mass-market options. Jack comes from a family of long tradition associated with Irish Whiskey. The Teeling family have been crafting Whisky since 1782. More than 200 year of malt-making tradition is no joke. All their products are quality through and through – delicious and well matured – and we’ll chalk that up to experience.

The Teelings love to produce in small batches and meddle in the craft of some inventive cask wizardry. They have a fresh perspective to give, and the Brabazon Bottling Series reaffirms their continued dedication to creating new and exciting expressions of Irish whiskey and in particular, expanding the underdeveloped Irish Single Malt category. Why the name Brabazon? Well, the Brabazon family presided over the Liberties area of Dublin City, when the Teeling distillery first started out way back in the 18th century, and this is their tribute to those important times.

But enough about the past, let’s focus on the present because that’s exactly what this Whiskey represents – a gift! A gift for everyone who appreciates history, who appreciates innovation and most importantly – who appreciates fine Whiskey. The Teeling Brabazon Bottling Series No.1 Irish Whiskey is a limited edition expression that sets out to explore the full impact of fortified wine cask maturation on the flavor of Whisky. The first release was composed of different sizes and styles of ex-sherry casks. Teeling wanted to create a full-on Sherry experience, and that’s precisely what you get. Good for them and good for us, right?

Ratings & Reviews
This has a very smooth vanilla like taste. Well worth trying a fellow soldier suggested it and I'm glad he did.
I love this bottle of whiskey. Not only is it my favorite distillery (thus far), but that sherry flavor of dried fruits is something to appreciate. I wish it (and most of their whiskeys) were more accessible in the States.
It’s not bad, but it’s also not my favorite. I personally think the sherry casks impart a slightly unpleasant flavor on what would otherwise be a nice, clean Irish whisky.
Pretty good, but there’s a hint of peatiness that I don’t care for.
