Great value/price, rather sweet with delicate notes of cakes and chocolates and a spicy touch
It was alright. Didn't blow me away and didn't make me want to come running back for a second. A very middle of the road whisky.
Sweet and fruit notes are good but overall would be better in a mixed drink compared to sipping plain
Decent dram for the money
Very heavy on the alcohol side. May dilude it with water or ice. Might suit for cocktails, coffee drinks and maybe baking but not as itself
Worth the price tag. Surprisingly deep in flavor with sugary tones and actually pairs good with sugar cake.
Taste like cake. Smooth and a good pick for the price.
The fruity notes play nicely with the spice and chocolate - quite smooth on its own.
Fruity sweet, with spice. Good enough to drink again.
Good but too much vanilla for me
I wouldnt be the biggest drinker of scotch but it came as part of a tasting set and I have to say it really good , would buy a bottle of this
Smooth and sweet. The barley is light and doesn’t overwhelm the flavor. Definitely want bottle of this
Higher on the sweetness. Water brings out more. Good but not great. I would drink it again though.
Enjoyed more than I thought
Apple n honey on the nose, pear and spice on the palate with a sweet finish
Can be picked up for astonishingly low prices in some supermarket sales and is a decent whisky. I find that people either love it or hate it.
Given the relatively low cost of this whisky I always find the taste to be quite complex. Definitely I tend to get sherry, apples and spicy oak as the predominant flavour. Occasionally I seem to get hints of blackcurrants and cranberries that I don’t necessarily enjoy. This is not a smooth whisky and I tend to add a lot of water or ice to release the flavours behind the bitter fruits. Worth a try though!!
A great entry level whisky for anyone wanting to enter the whisky world. A go to when entertaining.
Good whisky for price.
Colour: very nice golden colour, maybe some amber in there?
Nose: obvious tequila included! Sickly sweet, pungent, in a good way. Also reminded me of punch.
Taste: obviously scotch, but how interesting! Complex taste, sharpish. Mushrooms? Still that tequila. Caramel, Very light in the mouth, not sticky at all, mouthfeel could be heavier. It’s nice and interesting but not sure if I personally like it. Much better than being good and boring.
Really smooth. Can definitely get the chocolate notes. Almost a sweet start to it
Loved it! Not too sweet, not too bite-y, exactly the right sip after a long day at work.
Very sweet, fruity and with a heavy fudge sensation. Too heavy on the sweetness for my taste
Very smooth. Nice mix of spicy & sweet.
Reminds me of a box of fancy sweets, fun development.
Lovely caramel tastes, slightly sweet as well. a really nice, light dram. might be a bit smoky for some though.
Very smooth. Enjoyed very much
Not very memorable for me
I’m not a scotch lover, but this is quite good. The chocolate, caramel, and apple provide an enjoyable first blast on the pallet. The finish with cake and barley, is light. The exhale has a bit of harsh smoke, but not as rocky as some others.
Look: Nice golden amber, mildly thick.
Aroma: light, spices come through
Taste: Very dry, also smooth, lots of spice
Exhale: A bit harsh on the exhale
Overall: It was ok at first sip, but continuously it became less.
Really get the barley and sweetness on the nose. It’s smooth and sweet but just not my speed.
Very smooth, full-bodied, I would easily spend my money on this scotch
I thought this was a very solid scotch, especially coming from someone who doesn’t necessarily favor scotch.
Mild and sweet but not very complex. Very drinkable but forgettable.
The sherry cask comes through, a drinkable speyside with a slight edge.
Nice well rounded body. Slightly smokey, lending a nice balance to the sweet.
I was disappointed after smelling a delectable aroma. The bite was harsh and could be felt long after the taste test.
Big flavor of sweet chocolate. A great dessert drink
Very light and easy. Love the flavor profile as it lingers the perfect amount of time on the tongue and resonates.
A light, but very sweet and fruity whisky. Benchmark for easy accessible Scotch!
Appropriate I tasted it at Christmas.
The caramel up front, and chocolate in the back makes this a perfect dessert scotch
Spice with a sweetness that stays. Caramel
Very bright and clean. Fruity, with no peaty or smoky flavor.
Smooth and sweet with a buttery nose.
Dry and short honey finish. Easy on the nose but is watery on the palate.
The nose held much promise, but could not get past the watery mouth feel.
Very nice. Smooth and sweet but not overly.
Pear chocolate caramel
A sweet blend vanilla, caramel, apple and spice upon initial nosing. Tasting reveals some oak and spice followed by a bit of bitter chocolate, vanilla, and apple. Taste floats away shortly after. Allow it to sit for a bit before nosing to let the alcohol sting dissipate.
It is an outstanding, rich, Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a rich birth; while a rich & spicy life leads to a long & warming death.
Carmel and vanilla on the nose. Sweet caramel with chocolate undertones. A bit of oak and spice through the finish. I would drink this again.
Very light body. Ok, but nothing to write home about.
Disappointing! The nose is so nice. It is apple sweetness and creamy. The flavor however is a generic spicey sweetness with barley. One of my favorite noses on a scotch, so maybe I hoped for more from the taste. Still not a bad dram.
Caramel, toffee, and burnt sugar on the nose. Hints of barley and anise. Cocoa and caramel on the pallet, accompanied by oak and Cajun spices. Aftertaste develops vanilla and oak, with grassy flavors, rather short in duration. A couple of water drops opens up caramel nose even more, and floral taste dominates on the pallet. Hints of bread and more grassy flavors. Overall very pleasant and rather smooth.
Definitely some dark chocolate up front. An excellent after dinner whisky.
Sweet, smooth. Matched well with the spicy finish. I would buy this again.
Sweet with spicy after taste
Chocolatey but not a dessert scotch. Still nice for sipping
One of my favorites, love the sweetness, almost like chocolate palate.
Beautiful rich color and there is a lingering sense of sweetness. But, the spiciness was a bit too strong for me to give it a higher rating.
