The story of Sweetens Cove started with a couple of buddies and a golf course where games conclude with a shot of Whiskey. The team that includes Peyton Manning and Andy Roddick wanted to create a premium craft Bourbon, so they called Marianne Eaves. She’s the first Bourbon Master Distiller in KY since Prohibition, and she used to make Whiskey for Woodford Reserve. She’s an absolute badass.

This exquisite potion is a limited 2021 edition and a blend of three Tennessee Bourbons, aged 4, 6, and 16 years. Marianne went through 260 barrels of Whiskey before she decided on the trio and created a fascinating blend: sweet and glorious, with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, berries, and ginger.

Limestone Branch Distillery, which produces Yellowstone Bourbon, also makes Minor Case Bourbon and Bowling & Burch Gin.
Bourbons have very prominent notes of vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
Bourbon matures quicker than Scotch due to higher temperatures in American warehouses.
Straight Bourbon must be matured for at least 2 years. If a bottle has no age statement, it’s at least 4 years old.

Yellowstone Bourbon has had several owners throughout its history, including J.B. Dant, D.H. Taylor, The Glenmore Distillery, United Distillers & Vintners, the David Sherman Company, Heaven Hill, and David Sherman (now known as Luxco).

Pinhook’s high-proof Bourbon won Gold at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, while the Straight Rye Whiskey won Double Gold the following year. In 2021, their Bourbon War Vertical Series 5 Year and the 2021 Flagship Bourbon won a Gold Medal each, with a Double Gold going to their Tiz Rye Time Vertical Series 5 Year. Pinhook is evidently doing something right!
