Get ready, 'cause we’re about to drop a little bit of background knowledge on you: The Yamazaki distillery, opened in 1923, was Japan's first commercial Whisky distillery. It’s owned by Suntory and located in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

Alright. Fast-forward to Jim Murray naming Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 best Whisky of the world. The hype machine went into full effect. Good thing Yamazaki had the stones to back it up. The hype continues to grow, making every new batch harder to get. And the Whisky, well… it just gets better.

As befits a Sherry-matured dram, this bottle is infused with intense, fruity aromas and an impressive deep copper hue. Pure poetry in a dram.
