Was a pleasant surprise that. Easy to drink neat or with a large ice cube. Can not find locally so I just ordered my third bottle. nothing special just a good after dinner sipper to have around for friends and mild cigar.
Not as good as their nova single malt which had more complexity. This one has berry, caramel and a hint of chocolate on the nose, is fruit forward with tannins and wine with a hint of spice on the finish. Easy to drink.
Very fruity with a red wine finish.
Very nice light sweet nose. Fruity but not overpowering. The Aussies have done a very nice job.
Jammy at the front, resolving to dry and woody on the finish. Nothing too complex, but what’s here is nice.
Woody, lots of caramel on the nose, medium body, sharp and light finish.
Very good, but not as interesting as its sister versions.
Wow, this is a good import! My first Starward. very nice and smooth! I don't think I would use this as part of a mix. This is a really good sippin' whisky. there is some spiciness to it, and the first full sip does clear the sinuses. right price. would buy again
There's nothing wrong with it, but there's just not much going on beyond the bit of spiciness. I'd never refuse to drink it, but it isn't something I'm rushing home for.
Not as good as I had hoped, but not terrible. It was tasty in a simple hot toddy (lemon, cinnamon stick, cloves, honey)
Just ok. Spicy, some fruit. Not memorable.
Very smooth drink, easily making the Starward brand one of my favorites. The sweetness offsets the bite for a good drink in winter or summer evenings.
Solid buy. I get a lot of port in the nose and flavor. It has a little bit of a bite, but not bad.
Little more bite than I expected, overall though it was a good flavor and carried well.
Went back and forth on this one, at times it seemed good, others it was meh.
Very good and smooth a great middle daily tasting

Liked the flavor. Burned a little at first but ended smooth enough. Only had the taster but liked it enough I would be tempted to pick up a bottle.
This is a good sipping whiskey,
Wanted to like it more but meh
Very easy to drink
One of my new favorites
This is good, Starward is always in my bar now
Smooth and yummy
I bought a bottle of this a month ago and It was delicious. Bought 2 more and gave one to my father-in-law. I opened the other and it is horrible. Nothing like the last bottle it tastes like bad brandy.
A really nice easy to drink Whisky
I found this to be a thoroughly delicious dram. The nose is wonderfully fruity. I found notes of apple and wood on the tongue. Quite a bargain at the price. Highly recommend.
Smooth as a baby’s bottom. Unlike my teething 1 year old this whiskey doesn’t have much bite. Picked up some wine notes on the nose, much like when I get home and mommy has clearly had a hard day.
Not up to the same standards as Starward's single malt, this has a nice sweetness without a strong bite.
Nose before drinking: grapes, stone fruits Nose after drinking: vanilla wafers
Taste: wheat bite, green earthiness (arugula, dandelion greens), sweet wine notes
Finish: little to none, though the bite lingers after you swallow
Very nice for a young whiskey, and decidedly different from the bourbons I usually stick to; while not complex due to its young age, the flavors are sweet and enjoyable for anyone who loves a good wine-finished whiskey
I was very excited to try this, and perhaps I got my hopes up too high, but I was a bit disappointed. Not my favorite when drunk neat, but definitely tastes great mixed. Not bad, just not as good as I'd hoped.
Great initial touch to the palette with a unique flavor profile that stays up front while the back end is super smooth.
Silky smooth on tongue. Truly unique. Smell of Caramel, vanilla ice cream, and sherry. flavors of red wine, chocolate, butterscotch, cream, and mint. Hot cocoa!
I’ll definitely buy more and keep on hand.
When I first received and sampled my bottle it was so different I was quite disappointed however, this crazy concoction grew on me to the point that it is now my go to drink just about every night. I can not believe my turnaround on this amazing dram! Bourbon, Scotch and Brandy all rolled into one fantastic experience.
Big fan of the Starward Nova with the red wine notes. However, I expected this to be a little sweeter and it had quite the smoky type flavor that I wasn't expecting. Good, not great in my opinion.
This is an interesting whisky. The drier wheat component tones down the sweetness added by the wine cask aging. I liked it neat, you could use it in a mixed drink. The price is right...I recommend buying it and adding a unique offering to your bar for your adventuresome friends.
With my limited experience this whiskey was easy to drink over a little ice. It did have a distinct smell likely from the malted barley.
“Different” is how I would describe this. If you are looking for something new and different this is a solid pick for the price. It took a few tries to warm up to it. At first I thought the wine taste from the aging process ruined it...however after a few tries it is a tasty whiskey. Worth a shot.
Very smooth and slightly sweet. I loved it!!!!
Very smooth, but it tastes much more like a good scotch than a whiskey. I detect earthy tones along with some fruity notes, but I could not pick up any berry. It does have a velvety finish.
I thought it tasted swell. Woody start to a mild bitters and mint finish. For price thought it was definitely worth it!
Completely unexpected, but an entire delight. Reminiscent of a good sherried dram, but unique in its own right.
