Top reviews for St. George Absinthe Verte:

— Best absinthe in my opinion. Floral forward with anise and light tannin on the finish. I find best if left to age up to 7 years. I forgot about a bottle only to find it had matured into something else. Less floral at the beginning with hints of almond and appercot then fennel and a softened anise. Very smooth while still preserving it's bite.

— About the best Absinthe I've ever had. Perfect with an ice cube.

— One of the best absinthes in the world.

Eitan
Eitan,
Not bad compared to some I’ve had. The flavors seem to be more balanced here; the anise doesn’t smack you in the face like some other absinthe do. A type of lemony flavor is present also, followed by some earthiness. The finish is on the bitter side, however I did not louche it with a sugar cube, and did a 3-1 ratio. When a sugar cube is added and a 3-2 ratio of water to absinthe is used, I find this to be very enjoyable. I’m not an experienced absinthe drinker, but I can definitely distinguish the different flavors at work in here along with the trinity. I would say it’s worthwhile trying.

Daniel,
I’m just discovering absinthe. This is delicious - great for sipping neat even at 60%. Smooth and satisfying. I’ll be getting a bottle.

Ryan
Ryan,
Good quality for a good price. Nice tingle on the tongue. Potent outside of a louche. Pleasant sipper in a louche. Clean taste. Good product.

Jessica
Jessica,
Love that this absinthe is more floral and easier to imbibe than most absinthes.

Thomas
Thomas,
Thoroughly disappointed. I thought i would enjoy absinthe. But one taste made me gag. Then i tried it with the water and sugar. Couldn't get past the first sip. My mom and her friends enjoy absinthe, so, at least it was enjoyed.

Antti,
St George Absinthe Verte is a very good complex herbal aperitif / cordial in which Stinging Nettle adds a twist to this intense anise liqueur, it is supposed to make your mouth tingle.
