Jeremy,
Intriguing nose. Delicious, smoky, creamy dram. Has a smooth tree fruit flavor, strong smoke, some lovely spice and woodsiness. Salty, citrus lingering taste. Brilliant

Love everything about this cask strength. Beautifully done!!!

Logan,
Currently my favorite scotch. The malt, peat and saltiness shine.

Logan,
Love this scotch. Salt and smoke on the nose with a caramel undertone. The taste is similar with a little spice, but not overpowering.

Anders,
Had expected somewhat another experience Nose: apple or pear. Leather, then a little citrus I think. Subtle smokiness, phenols coming in. Wooden polish I think. After a while, loads of vanilla show up. Very complex Palate: very very oaky. Almost taking all attention, but also hints of hot spices. Some burning. Finish: more oak. Conclusion: very interesting nose, but taste is disappointing. I’m not even sure if this could perhaps be a faulty bottle

Daniel,
Unique. Honey, beets, phenols, and earthy on the nose. Toasted walnuts and baking spices. Oily, sweet and vegetal on the finish. Pretty good - not my favorite but unique and glad to have tried it.

Daniel,
I love springbank but the price and age don't add up here, go for the 12 or spring all the way for the 25.

John,
I really like this Scotch. The peat is medium in depth and follows you from nose to finish. The bourbon and Sherry influences give a nice, complex sweetness with a subtle creamy texture. One of my favorites.

Burton,
Fruit and vanilla amongst that characteristic Spring bank funk.

guest,
The 12 cask strength 2018 is one of the most delightful Scotch whiskies I’ve had... a beautiful balance of peat, smoke & sherry cask. The only Springbank I prefer to this is the 21...

guest,
Good medium peated scotch. It’s salty and smoky on the nose and in taste. You can also taste notes of grain, vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and spice. Long finish with a lot of spice notes. It’s good with a big ice cube and if it’s a little melted the scotch opens up nicely.

Ben,
Nose: spices, sherry cask, berries, citrus, dried fruits, Christmas cake. Taste: berries, licorice, sherry influence, smoke, dried fruits.

Don,
I liked the fact that I was not completely overwhelmed with peat, but it was there without a doubt. Most islay whiskeys have peat as the mainstay, but this was a perfect match for those who don’t LOVE peat. Apart from that, it is dangerously smooth and easy to drink.

Russ,
This is a very different dram from our usual choices. It has a noticeably different flavor profile. There is a flavor profile that i just cannot identity. It is a nice dram none the less. I struggle with upgrading to to a 15 or 18 year example. We may have to try the more mature examples at a pub before investing in an older example from Springbank.

Piotr,
At first delicate nose, stronger after a while. Rich taste, very light peat. Long finish... very pleasant whisky, a little too expensive. I would be extremely happy if I got it for a present ;)

Piotr,
Great. Not sweet. Not too peaty. Just in point.

Robert,
The nose is spicy, with hints of citrus and new tires. On the palate, spicy and creamy, sweet on the finish with slight smoke making an appearance. A fantastic dram.

Def needs a drop of water. Really complex flavor that makes it really fun to taste with friends. Not my favorite, but def a fun "different" to keep in the collection.

Agustin,
Great balance between fruit, spice, and a hint of peat. Very enjoyable. This whisky can make for a dangerous night because it is that good. Nose: coconut, caramel, vanilla, fruit. Taste: fruit, sherry, butterscotch, soft peat, pepper, vanilla, a little creamy, spicy. Finish: medium length, sherry, fruit. Deliciousness!!!!
