The Spirit of Bhutan Distillery is nestled right in the foothills of the magnificent Himalayas. The Kingdom of Bhutan is the only country in the world that measures its progress with Gross National Happiness rather than Gross National Product. The need for harmony between the land and its people is woven into the fabric of Bhutanese everyday life. K5 Whisky is a great example of just that approach. This special blend was created in honor of the 5th King of Bhutan’s ascension to the throne.

K5 Himalayan Malt Whisky is made from organic, triple distilled grain spirit and natural Himalayan spring water. It is then blended with 8 and 12 old Scotch malt Whisky combining together best of east and west. This is an exciting Whisky suitable for all the Whisky adventurers out there!

About the Flavor Spiral
What does K5 Himalayan Malt Whisky taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in K5 Himalayan Malt Whisky and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

The two biggest Whisky producers in Japan and major rivals are Nikka and Suntory.
Danish malted rye didn’t exist before Stauning started making it.
Is it spelled Whisky or Whiskey? Maybe you've noticed it before, but let’s just take a wee moment to help you keep your Es in order with this simple rule: There is an E in the word Ireland, so there is also an E in their Whiskey. The rule also holds true for United States, so while there is no E in Scotland, Japan and Canada the same goes for their Whisky. All clear? Good.
