Member Reviews and Ratings of Smooth Ambler Contradiction Bourbon
Unfortunately this was a blend that did not go too well IMO.
Smooth, easy drinking
Very tasty. Really smooth and nice to sip while not being overly sweet.
Right balance w/ alcohol content and sweetness. Tastes of honey, butter, and vanilla.
Lives up to its name. Smooth.
Little bite at the beginning. After some ice has diluted it a bit, the buttery flavor comes out
Nice and smooth, easy to drink. Buttery/earthy tones. Great quality for the price.
Smooth on front just like butter with a nice earthly finish.
Awesome Bourbon, very smooth and full of flavor. Not over sweet, which I prefer. Tastes like a very expensive bourbon and it is not.
so smooth, so good. Very drinkable.
I get a lot of earthy tones in this one and kind of disappointed. It is in the flaviar spiral but purchased this one on a in store recommendation from staff. Even for $30-35, I'd leave this one on the shelf unless you like earthy tones.
Smooth great tasting bourbon!
The name isn’t a gimmick. I drink this and get confused as to what is going on. You get earthy notes, like you’re a on a farm. But at the same time you get fruity flavors from the rye. then you get a bit spice and vanilla. It doesn’t make any sense but it’s absolutely delicious.
Very smooth. Neat!
Smooth sweet blend
I love this Bourbon, but it is a little pricey. Very smooth, easy to drink neat. Nicely aged with great aroma and flavor.
One of the smoothest bourbons I’ve ever tasted. Delicious and easy to drink.
Very refreshing with many layers of a nice all around bourbon!
This is a very smooth Bourbon. The taste is subtle and sweet.
Strong and enjoyable buttery and hints of almost fruity. Very tasty
Not as SMOOTH as expected. Good taste though.
I’ve enjoyed very much! The butter, vanilla, and caramel captures the profile very well. A great bottle for the price point and an absolute must try!
One of my favorite easy smooth drinkers
One of my favorites. Good balance and smooth drinkable bourbon.
A good bite but has a very good after taste. And good on the smooth side.
Delicious, warm caramel and vanilla with hints of baking spice. Excellent sipper!
Caramel and wood notes.
Great neat and easy to sip, no need for water or ice. The vanilla hits your nose immediately, but it’s not overpowering.
I like it, but it's better in a Manhattan than it is straight up.
Boy, I really enjoyed this on the rocks...I think this might be one of my new favorites!
Smooth as silk isn’t even giving this one justice! A fine example of a blend done right.
Smooth & warm. Great straight up.
A very full, rich bourbon. The combination of older rye bourbon and younger wheated bourbon comes together in a magical way.
Best bourbon I’ve had yet smooth like a wheated bourbon Smokey aroma and finish good neat or on ice
Little more bite than I like on the first sip, but every sip after that was very good. Very smooth, and the blend of the two bourbons keeps you wanting that next sip just to try picking out more of the flavors that mesh so well together. Really good bourbon.
So far this has been my favorite bottle that I’ve ordered, so much so to the point that it’s slowly becoming my daily drinker!
So smooth, great to sip, the vanilla notes are quite nice. At this price point, it is very hard to beat.
Another good one!
A little green but decent flavors of caramel and cinnamon
Excellent blend! Very smooth. The vanilla hits your nose immediately, but it’s not overpowering. Great neat and easy to sip. Will be keeping this one in the rotation!
I've never had a bourbon quite as smooth as this, and for being 100 proof, and blended - that's all the more incredible. It's pretty tasty as well! All in all, this is a unique and pretty outstanding whiskey.
Very dynamic and one of the most original flavors I’ve ever had. A great dram to keep in the rotation when you want something unique.
Bought this for the name and photo on the bottle only, alcohol inside was a bonus. Wasn't very tasty but it got the job done
Probably one of the worst bourbons I've ever had.
My wife prefers rye, I like a great wheated bourbon. This bottle is always in the rotation at our house.
