Good news: You've got impeccable taste in liquor. The not-as-good news? It means it's currently out of stock. Add this bad boy to your wish list and we'll let you know if it comes our way.
A Peat project gone Stellar!
Smokehead is a peat project of Ian Macleod Distillers, a family company that has been producing different Scotch Whiskies (and other spirits) for three generations now. Their brands include Glengoyne, Tamdhu, and Isle of Skye
Smokehead Extra Rare is a Scotch Whisky made on the Island of Islay by a mystery distillery  - many guess it to be Ardbeg, or even Lagavulin. It remains to be uncovered, this mystery, by none other than yourself. We won't reveal it! Do you dare take upon this tongue challenge? Fair warning - Smokehead is not for the faint-hearted. It hits you like a cannonball filled with peat.
As the Whisky industry searches for new ways of presenting and selling their products, there are those few that start a new wave of something different. And that is what this peat bullet is all about as it goes away from classic Scotch drinkers and lures more drinkers into this peaty, smoky and heathery cave!

What does Smokehead Extra Rare taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Smokehead Extra Rare and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
