Top reviews for Sipsmith London Dry Gin:

— Great tasting, most enjoyable

— If you love juniper, you will fall head over heels for this flavor palate. Sipsmith is a balance of juniper berry and lemon without the harsh taste of alcohol. Not too sweet and not too sour, it is a joy to drink on the rocks. I have to remind myself that I didn't add a mixer while sipping. Sipsmith, Fever-Tree tonic (I use the original and my husband prefers the Indian which has a bitter flavor) and a lime twist is my go to mixed drink. Never boring and always inspiring. I am not a Hendricks fan. It is a good gin, but I do not like the floral or herb aspects unless prepared by a mixologist. If you are looking for something similar to Hendricks perhaps look elsewhere.

— Quite possible the best gin I've ever tried. There's a flavor I can't put my finger on that makes this absolutely divine when drunk neat (as I prefer my gin). Almost a lemony-biscuit note, along with the other usual gin botanicals. My new standard! If only it were a bit cheaper, it's the only gin I'd ever buy.

David
David,
Very nice gin. Sweet with a sour after taste. Very unique.

Sean
Sean,
This is my go to gin for everything that is alcohol forward (martinis, GnT, Vespers, etc.). It pairs amazingly well with a slice of grapefruit. I only wish Sipsmith would import more of their Gin line-up into the US. Or maybe Flaviar could create the connection here!

James
James,
Super smooth. I get a lot of toasted cereal notes too. Very unique and delicious.

Robert

It's okay. not my favourite.

Joshua
Joshua,
a fine gin for mixing; has a pleasantly oily mouthfeel; botanical nose, spicy citrus taste forward, with a slightly and pleasantly sour/tart finish

David
David,
There is definitely a fruity side of this one that may make people lean one way or another but I would much rather have this as a sipper than a mixer. The honey and citrus are prominent which was actually a nice touch when drinking neat. It was interesting but not for everyone.

Steven
Steven,
Too much pine and pine sap. Didn’t find the citrus qualities. Not a favorite.

Stuart

Good quality gin, consistent & makes a lovely G&T

Lindsay
Lindsay,
I found out that I'm not a fan of gin. But this was the only one I could tolerate out of the gin o'clock tasting box

Jason
Jason,
Honey and citrus was the initial hit, which led way to a spicy back end and a smooth finish. I smelled mild botanicals but didn’t taste it. A very pleasant dry gin.

Antti
Antti,
It is a very good, balanced, London Dry Gin that has an aromatic birth; while a dry life leads to a balanced death of medium length with a hint of lemon tart & spicy juniper.

Nana
Nana,
Very lovely. I think it'll be great in dry martinis (my favorite).

Sandra
Sandra,
Loved it! Very smooth and sippable. Works in a tonic if you go easy on the tonic ;-)

A very flavorful sipping gin. Can easily be sipped or mixed. Would have no problem ordering this at any establishment if it was an option.

Teri

It was good just not my favorite

Brett

Very solid Dry Gin. I would add points for packaging if I could but this is for flavor only.

Beautiful iteration of London dry gin

Keith
Keith,
Loved it with fever tree tonic water

Nancy
Nancy,
I love this gin. Nicely balanced and smooth. Great for a martini, but soft enough that I would not add tonic for fear the tonic would tone it down too much.

Rene
Rene,
Bought it for a friend as apology, worked like a charm.

Luis
Luis,
Want a mixer? This is the base for you... not much distinguishing character itself; almost like a straight vodka. Not bad - but you’re not going to walk away impressed with anything other than it’s very basic and even taste.

Eduard
Eduard,
Smooth but missing character.

Bob
Bob,
This is a very nice gin. I’m not a huge connoisseur of gin, but even I could taste how much better this tastes than many other gins. My neighbor, who is a gin aficionado, really liked it. He polished off half of my bottle. ;-)> I’ll be buying more, for sure.

Michael
Michael,
I really liked it. Will drink again

Peyton
Peyton,
Heavy Juniper Nose , Citrus/Juniper Effervescence, thick mouthfeel on the body. Dry clean Finish

Allen
Allen,
Very clean and bright flavors. Nothing particularly exotic here but distinct and smooth. Excellent with everything I have mixed it with. I will buy this one again.

Gordon
Gordon,
Fresh scent with not too harsh taste. Subtle flavors make it hard to pick out particular notes but goes down smooth without lingering.

Kenneth
Kenneth,
Sweet citrus. Oily body

Kevin
Kevin,
Very smooth. Fair amount of flavor. On the slightly sweeter side for a gin. Excellent choice

Michael

A very good dram. Worth the bottle.

Casey
Casey,
No clue. Never got my order. Still no refund. Avoid this company like the plague.

Mathew
Mathew,
I’m not big on gin, but this is pretty good. It’s not overly heavy on the juniper and has botanical and even floral notes underneath.

Scott
Scott,
I'm not a huge Gin person, but my significant other is. This drink, however, was an exceptional drink. We both enjoyed it greatly. She would have preferred a stronger Juniper flavor, so if you're looking for STRONG Juniper this probably isn't for you.

Mark
Mark,
I did enjoy it especially for not being a gin fan, unfortunately I made a martini with it and added bleu cheese olives and juice. It was very tasty and did not have the traditional piney taste it as mediocre gins do. If I wanted a bottle of gin for my bar this would make the list.

Richard
Richard,
My gin of choice. Granted, I'll take a single malt Highland any day of the week but for a Gin and Tonic? I will always have a bottle of Sipsmith on hand. The juniper is not too heavy and there is a refreshing hint of citrus to accompany the finish. For the price point, you will be hard pressed to beat this bottle of Gin.

Josh
Josh,
Pretty good at a decent price.

Brady
Brady,
This is a bright and juicy gin. Very superior and everything gin should be. Smooth, with a tartiness, followed with a juicy juniper flavor. Many different gins like to incorporate exotic botanicals and flavors. Sipsmith simply maintains what a straightforward gin should taste like, and lives up to what a classic London dry gin should be. Versatile, perfect for a martini, or good enough neat. You really can't go wrong with this gin...

Perfectly juniper forward smooth gin.

Hansen
Hansen,
very smooth and clean tasting, sweet and decently strong, but not overpowering

Cameron
Cameron,
Sweet smooth taste I didn't expect from a gin. Enjoyed drinking it on ice, in tonic water I liked it less which might have more to do with the tonic water

Charles
Charles,
I am not a Gin drinker but this was not bad. Nothing like what I remember Gin being.

Jason
Jason,
Very nice. Excellent flavor. Likes to hang out on the taste buds for a bit. Found myself enjoying it more and more as it warmed up a bit.

Michael
Michael,
A really nice gin with a decent tonic from Fever Tree.

Larry
Larry,
A great gin to enjoy with a either straight up or with a splash of tonic. The lemon is infused wonderfully

Gary
Gary,
Thought that I was "gin-ed" out from too many youthful experiences with cheap gin but Sipsmith has reconstituted the belief that gin is drinkable and enjoyable. Sipsmith London Dry Gin is very enjoyable, light on the palate yet flavorful, dry but not arid, and, with dry vermouth, made an excellent "real" Martini. Excellent choice.

Clay,
My favorite gin! Having it the first time about 4 years ago in a pub in Hammersmith. We were there for an Adam Ant concert. Told the bartender that I wanted a local gin and he brought me and my wife Sipsmith, and I was hooked!

Scott
Scott,
I can definitely tell this gin came from barley. It has an earthy, dry nose that is somewhat like whiskey. It's definitely dry with spicy juniper, like the descriptions says.

Christopher
Christopher,
A little sharp when neat. Mixes nicely with Fever Tree but not so well with Schweppes.

Virgil

Great dry gin. A little sharp, but heavy in juniper scent and taste.
