Top reviews for Shieldaig The Classic Blend:

― good house scotch

― Nose is kind of subdued and plain. Got some malt with a little sweetness. On the palate, mostly vanilla and honey to start, picked up some almond and bitterness on the finish. Kind of plain, I’d prefer JW Black or Monkey Shoulder instead.

Sherry and fruit notes abound on the nose and are followed by fruit notes, vanilla and toffee. Hints of peat, almonds, and brine round out the bunch.

It's creamy, rich, slightly oily, and smooth on the palate with malty notes, honey, and fruit.

Finishes medium with a dash of peat smoke and a whisper of bitterness.
