SAM CLAY

Sam Clay opened a Whiskey brokerage house in Lexington Kentucky in 1875. A few years later he purchased the Paris Distillery in Paris, Kentucky, and started producing his own sour mash Whiskey called Sam Clay Bourbon.

Today, Genuine Sam Clay is a rare, Kentucky straight Bourbon Whiskey from the Heaven Hill line up of products. Sam Clay has been available in eight and twelve year old versions.

Bottles of either one can be hard to come by. The twelve is the most reviewed. It is 40% ABV and is light and mellow with a rich, complex, almost smoky palate.
