The Family’s Reserve is out in the open.
One of the last family-owned distilleries of the Caribbean brings to life this Rum, which is made in the town of St. Philip on Barbados. The Seale family have been in the Rum trade since the 1820s, and is situated on the land of the first sugar plantation.
Rum Sixty Six is pot and column distilled, and usually aged for 12 years in small white oak casks that come from a distillery in Tennessee, US. Being that it is aged in tropical climate the maturation process is almost twice as fast as it would be somewhere inland. The family reserve was originally just that, but luckily they chose to share this heavenly drop with the rest of the crew. And we sure are happy for it!
