In 1919, in the second-largest city of Colombia, a distillery called la Fabrica de Licores y Alcoholes de Antioquia (FLA) was established. By 1936, they managed to produce over 6,000 bottles of Spirits per day, and in 1968, the distillery we know today was built and opened. But it was the year of 1946 when David Cadavid Gónima decided to produce true Colombian Ron, called simply Ron Medellin.
 
Ron Medellin Gran Reserva 12 Años is a dark brown delicacy that has won so many awards, it doesn't know where to put them. It's a captivating blend of finest Colombian Rums matured between 8 and 12 years at almost 5,000 feet of altitude. It benefits greatly from the lower temperatures as the Angel's share is smaller. All the sugar cane is carefully selected from all around the country, and no fake flavors were used. All the time spent in American oak brings complex smoky features, accompanied by smoothness and softness. Ron Medellin 12YO has a unique character and works perfectly on its own or on the rocks, but if you're craving for a good cocktail, say no more. Add lime juice and syrup, and you'll have a wonderful Medellin Cosmopolitan.
