Light gold.

Nose / Aroma / Smell
Starts with honey and grassy notes, as well as some cereal, smokiness, caramel and citrussy notes — think orange zest.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
The honey is ever-present on the palate, continuing into malty and vanilla notes with smokey overtones. There's some coffee and caramel in there as well.

The lingering finish is sweet and malty, the honey returns with another hint of nuttiness.

Richard,
While I personally don't care for this, some people may enjoy it. The nose is a very strong beer wort smell, it's so strong and distinct I can't really pick anything else up. It doesn't taste anything like a traditional whiskey. I'm not sure whiskey is even an accurate description. If brandy is distilled wine, this is the beer equivalent. It's not for me.

Big fan of Rogue brewing, decided to try it on a whim. These guys make good alcohol.

Jessica
Jessica,
Before I followed through with it, I read a lot of reviews online and things don't look too favorable for this whiskey. I stubbornly still bought it because I'm obsessed with their Dead Guy Ale which by far no question is my most favorite beer in the world. How can things go possibly that wrong from a brand that has treated me so well, right? Power of suggestion from some reviews say things smell and taste cheesy and aint gonna lie, def got that from a cairns glass straight out of the bottle. I let it sit and open up more, added a few very tiny drops of water and I'm not thinking that it disappoints at all. I like the subtle coffee note it delivers on the middle and back end with a touch of spice packed with caramel, vanilla, and honey. Cant get past that cheese though, wish I could have unread that review maybe I wouldn't have picked it out. But cheese needs to be on that flavor profile fo sho.
