Top reviews for Rabbit Hole Cavehill:

— Not a sipper but a great mixer. Love it with a little ginger ale. Very smooth. One of my favorites.

— I tend to like things on the sweet side, and this did it for me. First hit on the nose was a little background smoke, very light followed by dark caramel. And that was the taste, at least for me. Very smooth and yummy. My first thought (and my daughter’s) was “this is scary good. I could drink this anytime, anytime at all, all the time!😀 Loved it!

— Loved it. I am more a scotch guy but this whiskey hit the spot.

Gary
Gary,
Easy entry into mouth. Taste of wheat, honey, and pitted fruit. Well aged as evident by being Kentucky straight bourbon. Also great story behind the founding of Rabbit Hole by the Zamanians’

Nicole
Nicole,
Very smooth and blended taste. Excellent

Sabin
Sabin,
Definitely hot when it first hits your palette, unlike the other Rabbit Hole bottles. Earthy, deep, lingering flavor. My least favorite from Rabbit Hole, but still several steps above the competition. I’d keep a bottle around for die hard bourbon friends.

Judi,
Not a sipper but a great mixer. Love it with a little ginger ale. Very smooth. One of my favorites.

David
David,
Not much charater for the price... fairly smooth. Won't purchase again most likely

Nick
Nick,
This is a decent bourbon, but I don't think it's worth the price. Starts off sweet with notes of oak, caramel and vanilla. The ending is where it fails for me. It ends very flat and left a stale / sour taste that makes the whole flavor fade away. For the price, I would expect a much nicer finish. From a pure flavor perspective, it's probably a 7 for me, but given the price, I knocked it to a 6.

Jeff
Jeff,
Very smooth, but almost too smooth as the flavor profile is a bit single tracked and could use more complexity.

Henry
Henry,
Pretty good. Enjoyed it.

Arnold
Arnold,
Very smooth and flavorful. Good sipping bourbon

Devlin
Devlin,
Easy, not complex, lots of Honey, a bit of wood, longer smooth finish with vanilla hints, good dram

Bryce
Bryce,
This is one of the best bourbons I have every had and that is saying a lot for a 4 year bourbon. The vanilla, caramel, citrus, and almost butterscotch flavors just come together to make just a beautiful whiskey to be enjoyed time and time again!

Jonathan
Jonathan,
Seems kind of new, being pretty peppery and grainy, yet slightly sweet. I didn't get any of the fruit notes, but more spices and herbs. For the price, I'm not that happy with it, but it's not drab either.

Aaron
Aaron,
I get the taste of botanicals mostly, maybe the black pepper, ginger and slight mint both on the nose and tongue. Enjoyable enough, not an everyday dram but it is growing on me over time.

Chris,
Wow. This is a bourbon. Classic bourbon vanilla flavor adds smoothness without being overbearing or too sweet. Perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks.

Michael
Michael,
Smooth but still has lots of flavor.

Peter
Peter,
Amazing whiskey, smooth taste and a little caramel finish one of the best I've ever had

Great sipping whiskey

Aaron
Aaron,
It's fine. Good knowing it's only two years old. Not worth the money compared to other whiskeys in this price range unless you love cinnamon and new whiskey flavor...

Christopher
Christopher,
Awful- so bad I couldn’t even cook with it.

James
James,
The flavor was wonderful!!! Loved the orange citrus flavor with the sweet mellowing flavor of the honey. One of the first whiskey's I can actually enjoy sipping. Other whiskeys, I usually have to mix it or just shoot it. My friends really enjoyed it too. I almost had to put the bottle away, because my friends were going through it faster than I expected. I wanted to make sure I still had a good amount for myself for later.

John
John,
It is nice, has smooth caramel tones at the end. Currently my favorite bourbon.

Steven
Steven,
I wasn't terribly impressed by this one. For the price tag it falls short in complexity and notes. I didn't get much honey in this as I did nuts. I likely won't be reaching for this one again.

Sarah
Sarah,
Really good, smooth bourbon.

Erin-Kate
Erin-Kate,
Smooth, caramel and vanilla tones, a definite hint of honey. This one is a sipper - I have to slow it down or it hits like a hammer - but a keeper, if I can train myself to behave.

Rhiannon
Rhiannon,
Magically perfect.

Paul
Paul,
Really solid for the age and price point, sweet Carmel orange and maple and smooth, with a light and pleasant bite

Tim
Tim,
Decent bourbon - good mix of sweet and spicy. Strong smoke and peppery spice notes up front. Honey and orange run throughout. After breathing, get more mint notes. Nice sweet aftertaste.

TJ
TJ,
Some of the best bourbon I have in a long time. Extremely smooth for such a young bourbon, but it’s delicious! You gotta try it.

Joseph
Joseph,
This bourbon took me surprise. The nose brought me to an old barn filled with shucked corn (and other good farm smells). Looking out the barn I could see the wet ground and grass, with a road lined with trees of an orchard of apples. Allowing to breath, I could now smell processed smoked meats. The taste at first stringent, then relaxed, it concurred with the nose statement about. I enjoyed it very much. It reminds of them late summer harvest.

Erin-Kate
Erin-Kate,
Loved it. Smooth, good spice and worth the spend. I'm a big fan, now being overdone with Maker's Mark the last 2 years (but don't tell my dad).

Richard
Richard,
Starts off sweet and doesn't change a whole lot. I prefer more earth/wood tones in my bourbon, so this isn't at the top of my personal list but it is enjoyable nonetheless.

Trevor
Trevor,
At <$50, a good purchase. Doesn't have complexity of some higher end browns, but I enjoyed the bottle. Was traveling and enjoyed a few glasses at a bar where it tasted even better than home. Same label, so possibly the ambiance! Good value

Great flavor. Great price. Great bottle. Everything you would expect from a quality bourbon. At this price point, definitely top 3 on my list.

guest

This bourbon is well beyond it’s age. A REAL treat!

Rich
Rich,
Love this one. It has become my go to mixer and is also excellent on its own. Carmel, vanilla, light and sipable.

Kevin
Kevin,
Good, easy drinking.

Beth
Beth,
It was a very differently flavored bourbon because it contains no rye and two different types of barley and wheat. We found it to be a very welcome and distinct, spicy change from a typical bourbon.

Dave
Dave,
Not one of my favorites. Astringent and really young tasting. Expected more for the high price. Will not purchase again.
Shawn
Shawn,
Why did you review twice.. Once was enough.. Should probably delete one.
Dave
Dave,
Not one of my favorites. Really astringent and young tasting.

William
William,
The orange and honey dominant flavors pair well with the smoke and pepper making Rabbit Hole Bourbon a pleasure to sip and roll around on the tongue. A single 2 inch cube makes it a perfect drink for the Arizona winter.

Timothy
Timothy,
Great, easy drinking, bourbon. Has just enough bite to remind you it’s still a bourbon too! Definitely will purchase again.

Jason
Jason,
Very good "baby bourbon"

Tim
Tim,
Very smooth and complex considering it is such a young bourbon!

Jerett

This is my new favorite bourbon for the price. Very smooth with just right amount of spice.

Joshua
Joshua,
Pretty good, but not once of my absolute favorites. A bit longer finish than I prefer.

Debrenee
Debrenee,
I’ve had both bourbons and they are both exceptional. This is a classic bourbon with a medium to long finish. Great caramel and vanilla notes with a touch of mint and citrus. Just the right level of spice.

Nick
Nick,
It might not be #1 on my list, but it has an argument.

Jennifer
Jennifer,
An absolutely wonderful, drinkable bourbon. Perfect in a classic Old Fashioned. Not too sweet, a little complex and lovely finish. I toured this distillery and found that they really put an lot of effort into crafting a beautiful product. The Rye is also exceptional. I look forward to other products they will have in the future.

Preston
Preston,
Great for such a young distillery.
