This limited-edition bottling celebrates the influence of a single, legendary raw material: Golden Promise barley. By using 100% Golden Promise malt and aging it exclusively in American oak casks, Yamazaki's blenders have masterfully isolated and amplified this unique, creamy, and complex flavor profile. This is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a pure, expressive, and detailed single malt.

Yamazaki has been passed for generations. In 2006 the distillery switched to a small pot still in order to produce a variety of high quality straight malts, with a depth and richness that could withstand long periods of aging. Yamazaki single malts are legends. They are hard to find and not easy to buy when found. All of their Whiskies have won numerous prizes.

Appearance / Color

Brilliant barley gold with lustrous clarity.

Nose / Aroma / Smell

Aromas of sweet honeycomb, creamy vanilla custard, and malted biscuits. Ripe orchard fruits like golden apple and nectarine are interwoven with a hint of fresh sandalwood.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

Flavors of orange marmalade, golden syrup, and a malty sweetness dominate. Notes of apricot, peach, and a gentle clove spice are present, all carried by a beautiful, oily, mouth-coating texture.
