Holmes Cay Guyana Port Mourant Demerara Rum is a truly rare and unique Guyana Rum with a fruit-forward profile.

Windyside Spirits was founded by husband & wife combo Eric Kaye and Maura Gedid. Eric introduced Maura to fine aged Rums while they were dating and it became a shared passion. They formed Windyside Spirits in 2019 and set to importing premium single-cask Rums to support their new Holmes Cay brand. Their first stop, the famous Foursquare Distillery in Barbados where Eric and Maura struck a deal for their inaugural release.

Let’s start with an important statistic… there are only 180 bottles of Holmes Cay Guyana Port Mourant Demerara Rum available. Total. That’s because there was only a single cask of this fine Spirit available. It was aged for fifteen years in refill Rum casks of American oak. The Spirit is then bottled uncut at a cask strength of 56.4% ABV with only minimal filtration and zero additives. A truly rare and unique Caribbean dram.

Smartass Corner:
The still used at the Diamond (Demerara) Distillery in Guyana is the only Port Mourant Double Wood Pot Still in the world. It has been used continuously for more than three hundred years and is made completely of wood in the pots with steel heads.
