Suffice it to say that \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDon Cenobio \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003efounded his first distillery in \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1873\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, passing it on to generation after generation, then some of the land was sold, then bought back, and renamed \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTequila Los Abuelos. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eBut a Rum had that name, so they had to get the trademark thing worked out… yadda, yadda, yadda… now they have been making Tequila under the Fortaleza name for the last decade. \u003cbr\u003e\n \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFortaleza Tequila \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eis based in \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJalisco\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e—\u003cem\u003ethe Mecca of Tequila\u003c\/em\u003e—using brick ovens, Tahano stone mills, and a pair of copper pot stills in the escuala-vieja way (old school). They produce a traditional line of three core Tequilas: \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ea Blanco, a Reposado \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eand an \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAnejo, \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003ealong with the occasional special edition. \u003cbr\u003e\n \u003cbr\u003e\nFirst, check out the awesome stopper on the top of the bottle. It’s a die-cast replica of a \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eharvested agave’ plant \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eand it is cool as heck. And the bottle is one of those \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ehand-made \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eones from central \u003ca data-tabindex-counter=\"1\" data-tabindex-value=\"none\" href=\"https:\/\/flaviar.com\/bottles\/tequila\/?country[]=Mexico\" tabindex=\"-1\"\u003eMexico\u003c\/a\u003e, so it is wonderfully a little \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eless-than-perfect\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e…\u003cstrong\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003eawesome!
