Top reviews for Pinhook Rye Humor Cask Strength Rye:

— Super good great spice super smooth !

— A delicious rye, I like my whiskeys on the strong side and this one delivers with a great and unique taste

— I’m not typically a fan of rye, but this is really good. I can definitely taste the Rey/spice along with a sweet raisin flavor. I had half a glass neat and was able to get these flavors, but the high proof blocked some of the flavor for me. I added a few drops of distilled water to open it up and found it to be one of my new favorites. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on this brand to try each of their future releases.

Anita,
Too much alcohol for me. I prefer the 48.5%.

A solid choice!

Anita
Anita,
I am a scotch drinker but found this rye very pleasing.

Nicholas
Nicholas,
Some stiff stuff. Expected from a higher proof rye, but this is an extremely spicy and tobacco-y drink. Compared to how it would be described, I actually enjoy it more than I would have figured. I'm shocked that someone else mentioned a dill note, because that's exactly what I'm getting pretty strongly too. But.. I kind of like it?

Nate
Nate,
Was expecting love this based on the flavor spiral. There’s a very present dill note that I’m really not liking. Great marketing/design but tastes young and mediocre

Brendan
Brendan,
Spicy fruit on the nose and surprisingly smooth and easy for a higher proof rye. Nice finish with dark fruit and a hint of sweetness.

Chase
Chase,
More of a bourbon drinker, so this might be too mellow for rye folk. Quite delicate and nice in a sazerac.

Devan
Devan,
Slightly sharp on the tongue but a better finish
