Very good ! Aggressive nose but great taste and very easy to drink ! Love it !
Good. Blend of whiskey with hint of rum. More of a bite than some. Spicy upfront.
This was delicious. Mix of rum, rye and pepper notes was perfect. I was thinking I wouldn't like this at all, but it was fantastic in the taster! Buying a couple bottles now.
My wife liked it
Not quite sure what to make of this here. It starts off a bit rough and rye but gives way to that sugary rum barrel finish. A juxtaposition between two different spirits and not necessarily in a good way.
It is a very good, creamy, Canadian-style Blended Rye Whisky that has an aromatic birth; while a rich & spicy life leads to a creamy death of medium length with notes of brown sugar, raisins & black pepper.
Pike Creek. Subtle oak. Creamy. Fairly smooth. Pleasant finish. I would say a keeper for sipping. 10 year old to boot. An incredible value at $30.
For sipping, the burn afterwards wasn't pleasant. I usually add ginger ale to my whiskey, and when I added it to Pike Creek, wow. One of the best whiskeys I have had with ginger ale.
Interesting - 4 stars for effort and complexity. Sadly just not my thing - too heavy of a sugary-sour rye/bourbon taste, despite continued attempts they still taste like petrol to me. Great smell of raisins and brown sugar from the rum though, and a nice spicy finish as well.
this was not enjoyable in any way, rum dominates in a bad way... tried adding water , ice. nope. not for me. sorry.
Delicious for the price
Daily zíper for sure
Aroma: leather with a hint of sweet fruit. Taste: strong rye spice that carries a strong alcohol burn. Hints of leather. On ice: rye and burn subdued, hints of but and fruit stronger.
I prefer this on ice, but overall a good whiskey.
Very strong rum taste. Quite delightful.
Excellent whiskey very smooth good finish
This is my go to Canadian whisky. It’s easy drinking, tasty, nice warm comforting finish.
This is perfect for autumn and subtle.
Subtle spice and pepper noted up front which fade slowly
Excellent Canadian Whiskey very smooth with a sweet ending from being finished in rum barrels. Would definitely purchase again.
Nose had a sweet touch to it - Carmel or butterscotch maybe. Tasting was very smooth - neutral and light on the front and a bit of pepper and rye on the back. Has a slow, lingering heat to it. Overall it was decent.
Pretty good, has a sweet taste to it from the rum finish. Very smooth.
Very good for Canadian whiskey. The subtle sweet notes from the end I don’t run barely makes the edge very smooth in its finish.
Young bourbon with strong vanilla notes from the rum barrel. Could do with more age.
really like the sweetness that comes on the finish. There is a bit of an initial rye bite to it, but it smooths out quickly with the run barrel sweetness.
Pretty standard whiskey. Nothing to exciting about this one, but a well rounded whiskey for sure.
Easy drinking an smooth. The rum finish gives it a nice smooth and softer flavor.
I’m not a big whiskey fan but I think the rum barrel smoothed out some of that whiskey “bite” for me. It was sweet without being thick and herbal without tasting like medicine. My boyfriend absolutely loved it. We didn’t dare mis this was anything, I drank it over a giant ice cube and he took it neat.
Very smooth but a bit simple and transparent, not bad at all but lacking in any real character. It kind of straddles the line between sipping quality and something that would be better used as a mixer.
Thoroughly surprised by this one. Smooth and flavorful. Aged 10 years - finishing this in a rum barrel was a brilliant move by the Pike Creek lads.
So what does it taste like? Imagine this nirvana - a place where Canadian Club tastes great, and finishes with a slight yet tastey rum happy ending.
And how does it make you feel? Like you're strong enough to pull the ears off a gundark.
I don't really taste the run all that much, despite some reviews I've read. To me it's just a basic whisky without too much complexity or depth. Not bad, but not interesting.
Brown sugar and Vanilla make this taste like a dessert whiskey! Dark fruit and molasses round out this offering.
Really surprised this has such a low rating; I think it’s fantastic! Really smooth whiskey with coconut flavors from the rum barrel aging. A great after dinner drink. This would pair amazingly with bananas foster for desert.
6/10 is for too low a score. This is a lovely whiskey and a jem to find here in the UK, as I have had to bring back other single malts with me back from my home country. Flaviar? Glenora hint, hint!!
