PERRY'S TOT

Founded in 2011
Perry’s Tot is a Navy Strength Gin, which, by definition, are bottled at 57% ABV. Navy Strength Gin harks back to the 18th century, when the British Royal Navy used to carry a certain quota of Gin on every mission.

The Gin was often stored below deck with the gunpowder and other precious cargo. Some bright spark realized that if the Gin spilled onto the gunpowder, it would only still light at 57% ABV.

Perry’s Tot is named after Matthew Calbraith Perry, who served as Commandant of the Brooklyn Navy Yard between 1841 and 1843. A ‘tot’ is an old measurement, equating to roughly 70ml today.

As well as the more traditional Gin botanicals (juniper, star anise, citrus peels, cardamom), Perry’s Tot also features wildflower honey from upstate New York.

What does Perry's Tot taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Perry's Tot gin and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
