Member Reviews and Ratings of Pendleton 1910 12 Year Old Whisky
Bonnigene,
My favorite
Scott,
Smooth and full-flavored. Easy to sip neat or over a cube.
George,
Actually, my first taste wasn't impressive, but as I took my time with it, I actually like it more and more. Can't really describe why I like it, I just know that I do. Just to let you know how my taste runs, I tend to favor Japanese whiskies, which run smoother than Irish whiskies.
Mark,
This has become one of my new favorite whiskeys.
Ivan,
Extremely smooth and not harsh at all. An easy daily drinker especially for the price. Not spicy compared to other ryes, but the maple is also faint. I think it could use more maple but other than that, a great rye.
Patrick,
Loved ir, very smooth.
guest,
Perfect
Dan,
Like the Carmel and sweetness of the Canadian whiskey
Kyle,
Delicious, one of my favorite ryes. Spicy but relatively smooth, good balance of flavor.
ROGER,
Warm vanilla and tobacco notes.
Paul,
I'm more of a bourbon and scotch guy, but this is an exceptionally smooth rye and delivers great flavor for the price. It is very smooth with subtle sweetness and a tolerable bite with a lasting warm finish. I thoroughly enjoyed it neat
Jerry,
Great value for the price. The blend is just what you want in a rye whiskey. good with a cube or step up your mixed drinks.
Kevin,
Delightful. Goes down easy and finishes smooth.
Dustin,
One of the smoothest rye whiskeys I have tried. I don't even use it is cocktails, drink it straight. Does not have the pickle/dill flavor that most ryes get.
Brian,
A mighty fine Canadian whiskey. I like it neat, or over one cube. Both ways are a great taste to sip on
Todd,
Another go to wiskey. great start, great finish. very smooth,
Joseph,
Have not experienced to many different whiskeys. I like the Pendleton 1910. I prefer my whiskey on ice no mixers. So smoothness is what I'm looking for. I don't care for a harsh bite, nor do I like real sweet.
Brian,
Smooth and tasty
Dusty,
Nice and smooth, sweet but not over powering.
Kent,
Tried Pendleton Midnight. Great nose and mellow lasting flavor. Slightly sweet. good sipper
Grant,
Super smooth. Carmel with some toffe notes. Really good for the price
James,
I was a little set back on the taste going down. I had a bottle of Rebel Yell to compare it too and I didn't feel it was much better. I will try it again in a week and maybe the taste will hit me better.
Dustin,
I really wanted to try a Rye without paying the $50+ most American Ryes are priced at. Really glad I gave this a try, it was absolutely wonderful. Definitely gonna be keeping this one on hand going forward.
Michael,
It was just a little too sweet for my taste. Good overall flavor profile. I typically like my whiskey neat but I enjoyed it more with ice.
Hilbert,
starts with a honey vanilla flavor ends with a spicy flavoring
Seth,
Love this to death. I enjoy it over ice.
Matt,
Great Rye for the price value, helps make a great Manhattan
Michael,
Sweeter than I expected but still the nice rye bite. One of the impulse buys I definitely do not regret!
Patrick,
Really tasty rye at a nice price.
Angela,
Definitely worth the purchase. One of the better whiskeys I've bought at this price point. Enough so that I bought a second bottle. I found it to be sweet on the tongue with a spicy finish.
Ross,
Sweet smooth finish.
Justin,
Smooth, light, worth the price.
guest,
Hands down my go to Whiskey for the dollar. It's smooth enough to pair with a meal and is definitely for enjoying neat --
Andreous,
This is not a bad dram, but for me it's a little hot. I had to cut it with some cold water and then the flavors really came out. Not a bad price if you are looking for an everyday sipper.
Kevin,
Beautiful rye to drink neat, rocks or in a Manhattan
Brandon,
Intensely smooth. Hints of caramel aftertaste. Perfect for sipping after dinner.
Van,
One of the smoothest whiskeys if had for the money!
Darren,
Tastes like rum, apparently on purpose. Waiting for the whiskey I ordered to arrive!
Danny,
Simple end of the day, or mid-afternoon drink. Recommend with a light cigar, and great for the price. You can tell its a Pendleton, and will probably go with 1910 over the others.
Joseph,
Excellent rye. On the sweet side but still complex. Extremely good for the price.
Charles,
Smooth, bu a little sweet
Eric,
Nice mellow taste on the sweeter side that the wife was able to drink neat with me.
Eric,
Fairly one note to me. Some spice and charcoal. I would prefer it in a mixed drink.
Sean,
One of my first whisky loves. Tried for the first time 13 years ago and became part of my home bar ever sense.
Mike,
One of my favorite Canadians. Bought it on a whim. I’m on my 3rd bottle and consider this one a bar staple.
Sean,
One of my first whiskey loves.
Randy,
Perfection
Grant,
Very good, not as good as the Directors Reserve but still good
Douglas,
So far the best bottle I have purchased from Flaviar. I actually purchased just to have on hand due to the lower price. I am shocked at the fantastic flavor. A pleasure to drink so warm and inviting will purchase again and again. I think this would be wonderful for parties clearly can be passed off as more expensive.
Drew,
Literally undrinkable to me. Overly sweet caramel taste. Might try it in a Manhattan, but I'm still afraid it will ruin the flavor of cheap vermouth. I've never had a whiskey that I couldn't even choke down, but this is one. Bought it based upon Flaviar ratings - guess I learned a valuable lesson.
David,
It's a solid Canadian whiskey, but in the end, sadly uneventful. Don't misunderstand; it's smooth. And if necessary, it will get you drunk. But don't get caught up on the word "Rye" on the bottle. Rye must mean something else in Canada... I mean, there's a hint of Rye there... right? ... Or do I just want there to be a hint of Rye my Canadian whiskey? If a maple tree falls in a Canadian forest, but no one is around to hear it, does it add Rye to Pendleton?
Justin,
I'm not big on sweet whiskey or Canadian whiskey, so giving this a 6 is pretty good for me. I like to sip this watered down with some rocks to take an edge off the sweet maple.
Cody,
Decent
Anthony,
Very good
Adam,
Smooth but still flavorful.
Kevin,
I ordered this as a gift. Kevin loves this.
Joyce,
I love the 12 year old Pendleton. It is very smooth going down with a sweet finish.
Todd,
Good, not great.
Joyce,
I have learned I am a rye whisky lover. This one is especially good. It is a darker color and it has a sweet taste at the finish. I just had a shot to try it and later poured some on the rocks. Love it!!
Jason,
Really good. Smooth, a little sweet and to me, not that spicy. Originally rated a 9, I’m coming back to make this one a 10!
Brett,
Sweet finish.
Crystal,
Husband loves all pendleton whiskey
very smooth to drink.
Robert,
Sweet, caramel, woody, fire and slight floral finish. Lovely.
Matt,
I always have a few dozen bottles of this on hand! Absolute Favorite!
Cody,
Good drink
Wayne,
Smooth as it goes down. Good to have by yourself or to have with friends. Good on hot summer days and nights. Good for winter nights.
Josh,
I rarely drink, but I could be an alcoholic with this 1910 Pendleton. Not too expensive, and goes down waaay too easily.
Matt,
Excellent on the rocks
Jeff,
Awesome whisky!
Brian,
Delightful. I’m a bourbon drinker, and Stranahan’s has been my favorite. I wanted something different and this delivers. Straight up it’s sweet but not nauseatingly so like a honey whiskey. In an old fashioned the hint of cherry comes out. Awesome. And yes, as an Oregon resident I’m biased!
Parviz,
Has a certain sweetness to it. Smooth and easy to sip
Letrisha,
Amazing rye!
Kurtis,
It is extremely smooth and a almost sherry cask flavor. It’s sweeter with out the rye spiciness. Greatfor sipping with a smooth cigar. Great for Manhattans.
Isaiah,
This is one of my absolute favorites! Complex with a nice long finish, nothing too harsh... spicy, carmelly and warm. On the sweeter side, but not syrupy. Just delicioso!
Malissa,
Love it!
Erica,
Great for a "rough day" tumbler.
Frank,
I can taste the maple, butterscotch and cherry, as well as a little bit of spice.
Cathy,
Neat is the only way to enjoy.
Justin,
Nice whiskey to just sit back and sip. A bit spicy, but overall, great!
Maximus,
Perhaps I may be a tad biased being from Oregon, however, dollar for dollar, this is my absolute favorite Whisky and Spirit. Sippable, mixable and enjoyable year round, I do my best to always have a bottle on hand.
Jon,
I think this is one of the best Rye Whiskies I've had, my uncle turned me onto it, it's really great neat or with ice. Only problem I have is I wish the bottle lasted longer.
Let'er buck, Cowboy
Terry,
Hands down the best rye whisky I have ever had. Disappointed that it is hard to get.
Terrence,
This one is pretty good. I prefer it neat. The rye shines through and has a warm finish. I am a fan of the Pendleton brand offerings. All of them I prefer straight up neat.
Ryan,
smooth, drinkable, affordable.
Aaron,
Extremely smooth and a great value!
Justin,
A sweet and complex rye
Joe,
A pretty sweet rye without a lot of the typical rye spiciness. Good Caramel notes right off the bat. Amazing bottle.
james,
haven't had it in awhile but always like it when I do
guest,
Quite possibly the best Rye I have ever tasted and I have been drinking Rye whiskey for 55 years.
