The best thing that came out of the Chinese underground so far.

Peddlers is an explorer, creator and harbinger of new ideas. Born from the hasty Shanghai underground scene of creation and trade, art and music on one side, and ancient Chinese knowledge of medicinal and beneficial fauna on the other, Peddlers gives an expression that cannot be matched. This Gin captures the true essence of the Far East, the Western tastes it was born out of, and the flavors that will satisfy even the most demanding drinker. If it seems that Peddlers Gin is a product of a longstanding tradition, it’s because it took a whole team of creators five years of experimenting and mixing to come up with the perfect recipe for this award-winning, world-renowned Gin. Heck, even their original bottle took 3 years to design!

The distillery’s showpiece is Shanghai Gin, a premium Chinese craft Gin that is the perfect balance of tradition and contemporary. Traditional botanicals are put in a new light by rare flora from the Far East, such as Budda’s hand, premium Sichuan pepper, and Chinese cassia. Eleven botanicals join in a celebration of Gin. The liquid is double distilled and vapor infused in copper stills, ensuring that each organic ingredient maintains its freshest and purest expression. It is distilled exclusively in small batches to ensure every bottle is of the best quality possible. A work of art, it’s no wonder this Gin received multiple awards at the San Fran World Spirits Awards and CWSA.

As with many other Spirits, Gin was originally intended to be used as a medicine—to battle malaria.
As producers try to develop new styles and flavors of Gin, to push the category and find a niche, the need for trying new methods of extracting flavors, as well as using more unusual botanicals, has grown.

One such way is the vacuum distillation method, when the redistillation of botanicals takes place in a vacuum.
Classifications of Gin: London Dry Gin, Plymouth Gin, Old Tom Gin, Genever or Dutch, New Western or new American or International style.
While juniper-heavy Gin is perfect for your daily G&T, it is also complemented extremely well by tea flavours such as Earl Grey. Try steeping Earl Grey tea bags in Gin for an hour before mixing it with lemon juice and soda for a refreshing tipple. This one gets you additional kudos, so let’s keep it between us.
Hardcore Gin lovers say the word Martini should never be preceded by Vodka, lobster, or pomegranate. They say the original and the only real Martini consists of Gin, Vermouth & olives, period!
How much Tonic is in a Gin & Tonic? The ideal proportions for a perfect Gin & Tonic is one part Gin and two parts Tonic.
