All-American Malt echoes Eire.

Dublin, the capital of Ireland, used to be the capital of Whiskey as well. Back in the 19th century, Irish Whiskey was a global blockbuster, until a series of unfortunate events (war, draught, and unwillingness to modernize) brought us the dawn of Scotch. But Irish Whiskey is back and stronger than ever. Part of the new wave are also Pearse and Deidre Lyons, who set up shop in the Liberties neighborhood of Dublin, right next to the ancient St. James church. The 12th century house of God (where Pearse’s grandfather was also buried) was refurbished and resurrected, serving faithfully now as a house of Spirits.

Before Pearse went back home to Eire, he became a big name in Kentucky. Using Scottish dual copper pot stills, he created an 80 Proof, 100% malted barley Whiskey that should “USA!” in an Irish accent. The Spirit was aged in charred oak barrels that used to house Bourbon and Kentucky Bourbon Ale. The Malt’s profile is a harmonious bridge between America and Ireland and it will enchant bot the hardcore fans of Irish Whiskey and any Spirit enthusiast looking for delightful unconventional stuff.

What does Pearse Lyons Reserve taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Pearse Lyons Reserve and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

There are many Irish Whiskey varieties: grain Whiskey, malted barley pot-still-distilled, and ‘pure pot-still’ or ‘single pot still’ as it is now officially known. Then there is Poitin, one of the first spirits ever made.
