- 1 teaspoon sugar, or one sugar cube
- 2 teaspoons to 1 tablespoon water
- 4 dashes orange bitters
- 2 ounces / 60 ml of Cognac or Cognac-style brandy
- Orange twist, for garnish
1. Place the sugar cube in a rocks glass and dash bitters over it, to saturate it. Add the water and muddle to dissolve the sugar.
2. Add the brandy or Cognac and stir to combine. Add a large ice cube, if desired, and garnish with an orange twist.
