Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Michael,
I did not enjoy this one. Overwhelming oak and smoke killed any other flavor notes. I cannot even use this as a mixer because the oak and smoke are too much.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Matthew,
This should be considered a whiskey and scotch blend. Heavy peat. Reminiscent of laphroaig
Oppidan Bourbon Solera Aged
Wendy,
Love the complex beautiful flavors with this whiskey.

Gregory,
Too much oak in the finish. This seems to be a craft bourbon thing. Pile on the oak and call it smoke. Take a snort of this and then one of Laphroaig or Peat Monster and you'll know the difference. I was disappointed because it doesn't taste as described (to me). On its own merits (without a tasting note to consider), its a strong cinnamon, salty open with a burst of oak. The finish is a bit overbearing. If they could only tone that down a bit I think they'd be on to something.

Patrick,
While I am not a Bourbon lover, I was intrigued by the Islay-touch and not disappointed. A nice Bourbon that pairs well with chocolate or toffee ...
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Geoffrey,
This does not taste like bourbon. It tastes like a cheap scotch. Not too bad if you like scotch.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Gregory,
Recommend this bourbon. Smokey but not overwhelming and smoother than some bourbons I have tried
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Thomas,
Taste too much like scotch. Couldn’t detect any bourbon notes at all. If you don’t like scotch don’t by this “bourbon.”
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Monica,
I love this! Slightly smoky and peaty but still smooth.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Meyer,
Not smooth at all. You can taste too much alcohol. Not a bourbon to be enjoyed alone needs to be mixed in a drink.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Kevin,
Very nice. Peat and sherry notes go very, very well with a bourbon. This is my first bottle of Oppidan, and I am pleased to make their acquaintance.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Topher,
I love this one. Very nice fruit, vanilla and oak flavor followed by slight peat & smoke.. and finishes with a subtle cocoa flavor.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Joshua,
Did not like. It does have the hints of Vanilla and caramel, sweet corn, perhaps honey or similar flavor but there is another taste that really ruins it for me. I will not be finishing this bottle. Judging by other reviews on this i wonder if it was a bad batch.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Carol,
Oh yes this bourbon really grows on you. With the lingering tastes of chocolate, coffee, caramel, it is very enjoyable
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Brandon,
This is not characteristic of Bourbon in my estimation. Obviously, the four grains are part of the marketing, but the malt really screams through to me. It has a pretty flat flavor profile, and hits like a forgettable unpeated Scotch. I'm glad that small batch distillers like this exist, but craft Bourbon this is not.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Matthew,
I liked the start - sweet with some pie spice. I didn't love the finish. Too much acetone in the finish.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Garrett,
Didn’t really care for it. Had a strong smoky and spicy flavor. Not my kind of taste
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Garrett,
Smooth with a bit of a bite afterwards. Little too much spice for my taste
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Imran,
also love.
Oppidan Bourbon Solera Aged
Imran,
complex fruity. loved.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Taylor,
It’s a good experiment, but it seems like some age and a higher proof would suit it very, very well. I’m excited to see where this distillery goes!
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Brian,
Smooth, lots of vanilla notes in aroma and flavor. Acidic bite with dry finish.
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Ryan,
I have really enjoyed about half this bottle and still can’t quite put my finger on all the flavors. Definitely pleasantly smokey but with a malty grain background and sweeter notes of perhaps chocolate and vanilla. A really nice change of pace whiskey to add to a collection that bridges Scotch and American whisk(e)ys
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Todd,
This was a little too smokey for my taste...
Oppidan Bourbon Smoke + Sea
Carol,
It really grew on me. I do taste the chocolate right at the end. A little scotchy, smoky, but very enjoyable
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Brent,
Questionable for complexity of flavors at first taste, but finishes unbelievably smooth. Great slightly chilled with one or two ice cubes.
Oppidan Bourbon Solera Aged
Jon,
Milk chocolate meets smooth bourbon finish. A good one to try!
Oppidan Bourbon Solera Aged
Larry,
Loved it great flavor
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Scott,
Goes down very smooth. Very nice taste
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Jason,
Very smooth, subtly sweet & alluring! Caramelized vanilla with citrus notes & spice. This will be in my cabinet for the foreseeable future.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Price,
This was disappointing. To me it needs to age for a few more years.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Michael,
This has to be one of my favorite Bourbons to date. It's a rich aroma with a smooth after taste. You can sense the hint of vanilla and sweetness of caramel. Darker than most bourbons it does have a bolder flavor than some of the other domestic large volume bourbons.
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
David,
Not a big scotch fan and this didn’t do anything to change my mind
Oppidan Four Grain Small Batch Bourbon
Chris,
Doesn't Bourbon have to be distilled at a min 80% ABV?
