This has the flavors of a good Indiam meal - coriander, cardamom, pepper, cumin, along with some citrus and slight floral notes. Fascinating and delicious. Had it as part of a box but will be ordering a bottle soon.
I'm really a fan- very citrus-centric with notes of pine and coriander. I didn't find it to be *too* peppery. It's very smooth, bright, and even a little sweet, though not in a sugary kind of way.
Spicy gin. Notes of cumin, coriander, and other cooking spices. Not my preferred gin for drinking near (or with tonic), but I bet it would make a heck of a bloody mary.
Interesting gin. Smooth taste, with very subtle botanicals. In some ways it's almost closer to a lightly infused vodka than it is to what I typically expect from gin.
Nice and smooth gin. The usual juniper present and some of the oriental spices made themselves evident. Not a whole lot to offer and not too much depth, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Not what I’m looking for in a drink. Told my wife it smelled like Asian food and at the second taste, narrowed it down to Indian curry. I can’t imagine a cocktail or occasion I would want this. Gave it a couple stars because it’s “interesting”, but I’d never buy it.
I'm not a gin guy. This definitely does not taste like a $35 bottle of booze. The black pepper is really something else, very unique. I'm giving it 8 stars taking into consideration the price/value.
It is a classic, complex, 'London Dry Gin that has an aromatic birth; while a bold & spicy life leads to a long & dry death with notes of berries & cracked pepper.
I originally tasted this in the gin-ne-sais-quoi tasting box and wasn't that impressed. Well, I went out and purchased a bottle any way to try something different. It's actually a very interesting drink. A lot of funk going on, lemon, pepper, coriander, spices.
The cardamom in makes this a very delicious gin. I definitely prefer it it a little less juniper forward and here there is just a hint of juniper. Honestly this makes the best gimlet I have had, but does not stand up particularly well in other cocktails with strong liqueurs present.
Very enjoyable peppery essence and botanical flavors. The nose has a peppercorn hints followed with zest and a trace of floral. The tast is spice of pepper perfection and a trail of citrus. A nice sipping Gin.
Very intense flavours that could be polarizing, you will either love it or hate it. Tasted like cardamom, very bitter finish. You could probably make a unique cocktail with this as well.
Love it. Loads of flavour versus just an ethanol shot. Pepper and spices. Teams well with a tonic like Fever Tree Med as that tonic allows the gin flavours to come through. Very refreshing with a squeeze of fresh lime. Something to look forward to and always a surprisingly enjoyable drink.
Kind of a fun find. Not your traditional gin, but definitely gin. Dipped it straight chilled for tasting and enjoyed it. I think it would get lost in tonic.
Strong spices were too much for me. Odd mix of pepper and something else I just don't like. Made a G&T with some elderflower tonic and it did not go down well. Wouldn't buy a bottle of it.
I had the station while traveling in London last summer. It’s hands-down, the most interesting Jen… Not spicy but there’s just a smoothness and beauty to its flavor… Nothing compares
Definitely different. Black pepper pounds the pallet and lingers like your buddy after a night a drinking - I liked it - but I was glad when the glass was empty.
Color is clear, absent. Nose is peppery, with bright citrus, and an unknown to me spice/herb, possibly the Cubeb. First sip is juniper and cardamom, then the lemon zest and orange peel from the nose, followed by a sharp pepper and spice/herb flavor, as well as an appearance of the cumin. Overall quite unique and pleasant. Definitely pairs better with a more mild tonic to let the unique flavors shine through.
Spectacularly idiosyncratic. So many unexpected spices in a gin: coriander, cumin...that stuff called "cubeb" that seems to comprise cinnamon and Silk Road camel dander. Big lemon pepper greeting. A sipping gin for the daring.
