The go-to scotch. Briney, complex, dried apricot and fig. And affordable.
Smooth and easy
seasealt, caramel,vanila.. probably my favorite for the price!
Rich tasting whisky, definitely not a starter Scotch. Has a distinct smoky finish. Very, very good.
Interesting salty apple aroma on the nose. Initial taste is sweet apple with some salty notes. Finish lingers producing some subtle oak and pepper notes. Very smooth and easy drinker.
Smokey but smooth
One of my favorites! Please try to make it available!
Reminds me of a seaside coast. Maybe a small campfire to combat the salty weather.
Honey was a little too much. Not into spicy flavors so didn’t love the spice.
My first impression was not good. When I added water and let it set for a while it improved.
Long legs pepper salty finished with a oaky honey vanilla very enjoyable after a roasted chicken dinner
Honey, smooth, building spice
Not too smooth but nice flavors
Solid scotch. Great color, great taste. Sweet smell
Nice for the price. Light, floral, no peat.
Not too shabby
Smoother than the initial nose would suggest
Not bad but the spicy flavor at the end is almost overpowering. I didn’t mind the sample but probably wouldn’t buy a whole bottle myself.
Definite honey, vanilla and brine on the front end. Slow move through smoky into spicy and heat at the very far end.
Beautiful Scotch. Buttery & briney.
Super interesting. Not the best scotch I’ve had but definitely the most unique tasting.
Great flavors, almost a little creamy at the end.
Solid scotch. Definitely taste the salty sea air of the Highlands, but a light honey finish brings it home nicely. I like it, but not a daily staple
The salt overpowers all of the other nice notes in this dram. Ok as part of a whiskey tasting, but would not purchase an entire bottle for every day sipping.
Recommended. Didn’t disappoint.
Quite nice. Fruit and vanilla on the nose, salt in the background. Thin mouth feel, but flavorful pepper and honey, fruit. Top notch 12 year old.
It starts with a smoky, salty flavor that quickly gives way to a rich sweetness of toffee and chocolate. Delicious and a great scotch to have neat.
Nice bouquet, enjoyed the fruity notes, didn't care for the briny finish.
Great taste not too strong, perfect drink to sip on.
The honey blasts through at the end.
That salt and pepper notes can be a little overwhelming
The salty notes make this an interesting dram
A unique taste, I’m not normally a scotch drinker but enjoyed this one. The salt notes set this apart from others with a mildly spicy note.
I love the salt and spice!
Not bad real salty taste but not a bad drink at all.
Old stand by ... always yummy
Honey and brine with a citrus finish. An all around favorite and exceptional value. Any everyday dram
The best for the price. You can taste the salty sea.
Sweet but balanced 🤔
I liked it a lot. I am new to the whiskey thing and it was enjoyable.
My favorite whisky that I tasted while I was studying in Scotland for six months.
Very pleasant overall. The salt is the number one aroma followed by a wonderful sweet tangerine or even tropical fruit. You can tell this is affected by the briny sea, but it’s a far cleaner brine than the Islays. The oak isn’t overpowering and it seems as if the bourbon influence is minimal. Very surprised at the deep tropical fruit that moves from nose to taste to finish. It’s a constant along with the saltiness. The salt lingers in the finish enough to beg you for another sip and another. Quite enjoyable and unique among the Highlands. Wonderful value for this price dram. Highly recommend.
A little salt surprised me at the end. Not used to that. Definitely honey. Maybe vanilla? Not nearly as harsh as some of the others I've had recently.
Balance is perfect. If there was a bit longer finish it’d be a 10
A very good and affordable whisky, this is my everyday whisky, a whisky you can drink whenever, and share with whoever. Lovely
My go to Scotch, I prefer it neat but a few drops of water doesn’t hurt to open her up. I’ve never been able to find something else that quite matches that unique salt flavor.
-Good on ya and good drinking
One of my very favorite 12 year olds. Clean.
A very drinkable scotch that is not too harsh on the throat. Be careful though is is so smooth a half a bottle os gone before you know it!
Awesome, absolutely love it. Extremely smooth. Caramel, malty and floral notes.
It's quite good, but I don't enjoy it as much as the GlenDronach, Glenlivet, or bourbons in general.
Classique, mais agréable
Very complex and balanced for a 12 year old scotch. Best value single malt around. Oban 14 has a comparable flavor profile, but is not as good, and is nearly triple the price. Old Pulteney 12 is a no-brainer, must have.
Good everyday scotch. If you like glenfidich you'll love this.
Fruity, bourbon nose. Slightly peaty taste, but minimal negative impact. Taste was mostly creamy and smooth. Opened up with water.
Very smooth, flavors are mild but nice
Very nice drinking, smooth with some nice flavor hints also.
The nose on this scotch is reminiscent of the sea - salty with a hint of sweetness. The taste is dry, medium bodied with a hint of saltiness that balances nicely with the honey and citrus undertones.
Great every day dram and perhaps best bang for your buck.
Very good and so much value for money, maybe one of the best in this category. Above average because of the combo sweet and spicy, for balance I give it a 10. The sweetness in the nose and taste is so good, the aftertaste makes it really good. Pay a couple of bucks more and you can give your guests better than classics like Glenfiddich 12, Glenlivet 12, Black Label and Chivas 12, all or good and value for money, the OP 12 is just so much better!
Full and rich
My favourite dram.. Perfect Balance of everything you can get from good single malts. There is little bit of everything.. Picked fruits, honey, spices and peat in my drams.. Go ahead and try one and I can bet you won't be disappointed.
Tasty but slightly looser taste than others
An excellent starting place fire starting your adventure into scotches, but will also grow on you with age. A wonderfully balanced experience.
Wonderfully complex for a relatively new whisk(e)y enthusiast. Subtle pear under the honey, apples and dark barley sugar notes. Hints of almonds, pear and fruit skins give a nice finish.
