This is was fine. It just doesn't have the complexity or fullness of flavors of their other bottles. To me it just seems watered down which if it was priced at closer to $35 a bottle would seem a lot more reasonable.
Drinkable, slightly fruity notes, but I wouldn't say worth the money to get from Japan when there are closer to home bottles that cost less for more flavour.
It was decent
Very light colour, nice golden hue still. Also light on the nose, but a pretty enjoyable refined experience still. Sugary, syrupy smell.
First sip super enjoyable! Light, sweet, complex, very sweet, fresh. Raisins, some nice bread, woodchips. I really enjoy the sweetness, it's not too much but just right to make you go "oh ho!"
Very nice, but maybe a little light for my tastes at this point. I'm left hoping for some more meat, but this is still very very good. Might want to get a whole bottle of this.
An enjoyable tipple, a little light on flavour
Good smoke and sweetness, not a huge amount of flavour. Pleasant.
Fermented fruit smell, fruity taste. Its okay. Good to make a highball or with ginger ale.
A little to dry for me
Very smooth with a nice hit of caramel upfront and some lingering spiciness on the finish.
Very smooth, good relaxing drink
I really like how thick and creamy it is.
Super easy, drinkable whisky. Not a lot of depth but still nice
Quite easygoing and floral.
So smooth... you can taste the caramel as you open the bottle, and it’s gentle on the throat while still delivering all its flavor!
Gentle and flowerish spirit, aroma is close to scotch, but the whole drink is a bit empty in taste
Smooth. Similer to Johnny walker black. But not as heavy on the taste. Very slight hint of liquorice on the nose. Very easy to drink.. oaky aftertaste.
Very wide on its flavor profile. Light and citrusy, but I prefer my whiskies to be a littler bolder.
Nose, was light smoke, spice, and ethanol. Flavor was very light and mellow smoke and spice but is about all I got. I expected more from this one.
Sight 🧐 ; Light yellow blended whisky with fast running legs,
Nose 👃 ; Milk chocolate, vanilla, some spice heat, slight smoke,
Taste 👅 ; Vanilla, some smoke, slight fruit, some nuts towards the finish,
Finish ; Smooth with some light smoke, medium length,
Every day drinkable
Very light. It’s Ok, but not a lot of flavor.
Light & simple yet consistent and pleasant untill the end
smoky and sweet balance that is unusual but welcome
Loved this, spicy and crisp.
Really like the combination of smoky and sweet.
Definitely solid drink. Can get the caramel and smoke. I didnt really get the citrus.
Not one of best ones, expected more from Japanese one
Very soft and sweet. Nice sipping whisky.
Nice taste and a really good japanese whisky!
It has a sweet yet smoky flavor to start and the caramel notes dissipate into to smooth short finish
Definitely smoky. Soft flavors beyond that. Hard aftertaste.
Slight iodine on the nose. Carmel, vanilla, and fruity flavors. So so subtle, and on the sweet side. Wish the flavors came out more, but not terrible.
Fruity nose. Light spice. Sweet. Zest. Soft.
Wow! This is one of those whiskeys you think is just okay when served neat, but over the rocks the sweeter, citrus profiles explode and becomes absolutely delicious like a citrus pound cake. Yummy!
It is an outstanding, delicate, Japanese Blended Whisky with an aromatic birth; while a rich life leads to a short & dry death with hints of coffee, vanilla, malt & apricots.
In a glencairn glass without adding water, it's a forgettable whiskey. On the nose, it comes off as nail polish with undertones of caramel. It lacks body. However, when you open it up with a few drops of water, the harsh alcohol smell disappears, and you're left with more caramel notes. On the palate, the citrus flavor (Especially orange) comes out. Unfortunately, for me, I don't get much more and the finish is short and still forgettable. In my opinion, I would not pay more than $25 for this bottle, but in all honesty, skip it altogether.
Really liked this one. A little smoke, a little peat, a little sweet
Long sweet tingles and warms the bones
Initial nosing has a fresh bloom of lemon, apple, pear, and bit of orange. Tasting reveals a smooth flavor filled with some vanilla, caramel, apple, lemon cake, citrus and a bit of malt. Nice finish. Very enjoyable.
Smooth sipping whiskey. I truly enjoyed the taste.
Smoooth as silk but flavorful. Lovely for sipping.
