Sensational Japanese Vodka from Nikka

When Nikka isn’t producing its fantastic Japanese Whisky, they stretch their imagination muscles by producing other Spirits, namely Gin and Vodka. They follow the John Anderson rule: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Which means they use the same legendary Coffey still they use for Whisky (designed by Aeneas Coffey and imported to Japan in the Sixties). Now, despite being mostly known for Whisky, Nikka doesn’t mess around with Vodka either. They distill corn and barely individually before they’re carefully blended by the pros and refined with charcoal. The process is complex and demands the best nerds you can find.

The result is breathtaking, though. Zesty, rich and sweet, with the fullness that can only come from the Coffey still. We’re not saying Nikka is giving the Russians a run for their money, but we’re definitely saying Nikka is giving the Russians a run for their money. Absolutely a kind of Vodka you sip neat.
