A very enjoyable single pot still dram. Could drink this all day long and enjoy the subtle sweetness and great taste.
Amazing! Caramel, oaky, delicious. If you like Irish whiskey, this is a must try.
It's smooth, maybe not as much as Green Spot, but not for an increase in complexity. It's more approachable and simple/sippable than Green Spot.
I got a bottle of this from my daughter and son in law for my birthday a couple of years ago. For me this is too light in flavor. I finished it but I do prefer the Green Spot with the red strip on the label.
Strong flavor. Bit of grass, light sweetness. Clean finish. Walnutty.
Great Irish whiskey.
absolutely love it
I like the smooth and not overpowering flavor. really great straight up. Easily my favorite by far.
It might be the smoothest whiskey I have tasted. Really love the peppery start with the sweet finish.
Smoother than Green Spot, but similar taste
Delicious! Those bourbon barrels really add something special!
Nice sharp on the tongue but really tasty.
Truly a beautiful Irish with depth and richness well beyond Green Spot. This one is bursting with fresh apple and fruit on the nose but delivers a classic pot sill pallet with the influence of the finishing casks. Approachable to new whiskey drinkers and yet interesting for the whiskey enthusiast.
Loved the various fruit notes.
Who doesn’t love a good Irish Whiskey? This is a really good drink with a nice smooth taste. I’m looking forward to trying Green Spot next.
Verry verry verry nice
Sherry cask finish makes this a very pleasant drink and wonderful night cap. It is strong but so smooth and gentle. Flavors pop when sipping and it is a wonderful drink.
I like the green spot better, for my palate
I have lots of friends that swear by Yellow Spot as their go-to
One of the finest Irish whiskey's I have ever had.
Nose is butterscotch, bready, orange zest, grasssy, vanilla and a hint of almonds
Taste has a cinnamon like spice, butterscotch, toffee with a slight hint of bananas.
Finish is woody and the butterscotch lingers with toasted bananas.
Haven't tried it with ice or water yet. But will say very different from green spot and really head me looking forward to the day I can try red spot.
Very good. I'll take this over redbreast 12/15/lustau any day. Sweeter and less oaky than green spot.
Very smooth and long finish. This is a must try for any fan of Irish Whiskies.
The price point, awards, and the high reviews are not just hype - this is a fantastic Irish whiskey. Definitely a dram you want to take your time and really take in.
Clean, light and smooth. perfect finish. It's one of the few spirits that I think about all the time.
Sweet taste and smooth finish. One of the best whiskeys I’ve ever had
One of the best whiskeys I’ve ever had. Such a smooth taste and sweet finish.
Wow. This is a terrific whiskey. Now, it will cost you. There are great whiskeys to be had for less even from Middleton themselves. But this one is worth every penny. The rich butter and spice you expect in an Irish, but even more complex. The spices are herbal, almost hay notes. The butter is over ripe fruit and preserves. There's wood spice and complexity in the finish. If you're looking for quality and don't mind the price, buy this now!
Fruity and smooth
One of my tops. Good flavor profile, smooth, easy. Similar to yellow. Hints ofcitrus.
Complex and a bit spicier taste. Tastes better with every sip.
Very Nice mellow Id say it was between red breast12 and 15 year very good for the money cant go wrong with red breast anything I have bought several bottles
Very nice whiskey. Smooth, with lots of fruit on the nose and grain in the taste
velvet smooth when you drink it, peppery, spicey, vanilla & oak. proper after taste
I enjoyed the flavor more with a ball cube of ice. the company also makes Green Spot and I enjoyed it straight up.
Fruity and delicious!
Sweet. Fruit. With grains. Nutmeg. Vanilla. Crème brûlée. Beautiful pot whiskey. A developing taste with every sip.
I have to admit I was really looking forward to this bottle. I bought Green Spot, made by the same distiller, and absolutely loved it, so I had some pretty high expectations for Yellow Spot. The nose was very grassy. While it was smooth and had a velvet mouth feel, the notes just didn't really stand out to me. For the price, I thought it was certainly lacking.
This is an incredibly smooth and flavorful Irish Whiskey. A must have for my bar.
Absolutely Delicious! Fruit forward with a pleasant sweetness, but not too much! A velvety smooth whiskey. It is definitely different from Green Spot, both are delicious in their own way. Glad I took the chance on Yellow Spot, it has definitely earned a permanent spot in the home bar!
Amazingly smooth. Hands down my favorite Irish Whiskey. If i had only one choise forever, this is it for sure.
This is my first foray into Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. I was hesitant at first, until a friend told me try this Yellow Spot. I like it. Definite honey scent from the Magala cask, mixed with vanilla from Bourbon cask. The taste is sweet and mouth feel is definitely creamy and luscious. The finish is medium and quite complex, with continuous hints of cream and fruits and honey leaving a final note of dark chocolate. I'd rate it somewhere between 7 and 8 on the yummy scale, and can be offered as an after dinner drink.
Extraordinary. So smooth and refined. I have always preferred single malt Scotch and bourbon over Irish Whiskey but this bottle may have changed my mind.
Nose: honey, some vanilla, light red fruit
Taste: fruit, some vanilla sweetness melting into toffee, nuttiness towards the end and a slight bite
Usually drink mostly Japanese whisky but this took me by surprise, love how smooth it is,
Smooth, sweet, and bright. My best description for flavor is creme brulee with the warm sweetness, but also has an almost tropical note to it.
Tasty Irish whiskey! A bit more bite than some, but lots of sweet flavors afterwards.
Smooth, warm, vanilla
Sweet Irish deliciousness
Vanilla, fruit, and spice. Smooth and pleasant
This is a delicious treat! So smooth, great sipping.
This is good but I think I like the Green Spot better.
The flavor profile provided by Flaviar mirrors what my tongue tells me. I prefer this over the Green Spot hands down. Not a pure “vanilla bomb” but more than a hint of it is present. If you are like me and consider Midleton Very Rare the pinnacle of Irish Whiskey, Yellow Spot falls somewhere between the two and leans more toward the Very Rare than Green Spot.
Great Irish whiskey with hints of vanilla and a very smooth finisb.
Really enjoy this one. Smooth and flavorful.
Fruity and not too sweet
My new favorite. Even smoother than my old favorite, Jura Turas Mara
Favorite Irish whiskey
Comes on strong with lots of spice and a bite. Finishes spicy and nutty. Sweet caramel undertones. Complex. I like it more with every sip.
Very nice. Good nutty flavor.
Starts out with a spicy-strong and delectable aroma. A surprisingly sweet flavor, thanks to the 1/3 sherry cask. The sherry flavor add a nice sweet tone, which may not please everybody. Mostly a sweet vanilla and apricot flavor. This whiskey is very smooth. Leaves you with a nutty, earthy-spice aftertaste. Undeniably great.
Vanilla, mellow and warm, with almond and spice
Good. But, Green Spot is better, and a better value.
Very good whiskey. Smooth, sweet, with a little bite on the back end. Very pleasant.
It's a nice whiskey, but for the price I prefer Green Spot. I was slightly disappointed in this, but it's not a bad option.
Smooth and easy drinking.
I am partial to Irish Whisky anyway so it may be an inflated score due to taste but this is a damn good dram. Sweet at first and lingers with some spice. Well done!
Very disappointed I expected much and was greatly disappointed.
Very nice. Liked it better than my 21, year old old pultney
Can't really find the "special experience" but it' s smooth and nose friendly.
Sweet and friendly, easy and pleasant.
Very sweet with a spicy finish
Smooth vanilla taste with sweet notes and a nice hint of spice aftertaste. I can definitely sip on this all night! Highly recommend.
Delicious and smooth.
My favorite Irish Whisky by far. To my tastes, there is nothing else like Yellow Spot.
Love it!! A great Irish whiskey to add to any bar that won't break the bank!
Very smooth and enjoyable. Best Irish whiskey I've sampled.
very easy to drink
This is currently my favorite Irish Whisky
smooth and very pleasant,outstanding flavour.
One of my favorites
Smooth and pleasant
This is one of my favorite Irish whiskies!!
Quite delicious. I smell apples, which is not represented on the flavour spiral
Fantastic , strong but mellow and full of flavour
Great for a novice or an"Expert :)
at home in ireland it costs around the €80 mark,i think €51.99 is cheap
Why is the Faviar price higher than the retail price?
Had a small sample from a customer of mine and it is lovely. I was afraid I wouldn't find a bottle and here it is!
If you enjoy green spot then you will be blown away by the yellow spot. Amazing bottle and worth buying an entire bottle. Hard to find in stores but magically found 3 for $95 dollars in a store in NC. Amazingly smooth, lightly sweet and full of flavor.
Wonderful...won't be disappointed! Looked for Yellow Spot for over a year and was well worth the wait!
