A classic Irish Single Pot Still Spirit aged in ex-Bourbon casks and finished in rare Irish oak from the Knockrath Forrest.

Irish Distillers is the wonderfully stubborn subsidiary of Liquor-giant Pernod-Ricard… and we should all be glad that they are. That’s because they stubbornly adhere to their time-tested methods and practices for making the world’s most popular Irish Whiskies. Irish Distillers makes the famous Jameson, Powers, Paddy, Redbreast, Green Spot, and Midleton Very Rare Whiskies along with Huzzar Vodka and Cork Dry Gin.

Midleton created the Very Rare Dair Ghaelach series to celebrate the natural woods growing in the hills, forests, and moors of the Emerald Isle. The Knockrath Estate sits south of Dublin near the east coast and has been managed by the Brabazon Family for four hundred years.

Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Knockrath Forest Tree 2 is the 3rd of the expressions in the series. It’s made from several aged Single Pot Still Whiskies, matured in American Oak (ex-Bourbon) and Irish Oak barrels.
What happens is a juice with a concrete Irish character and a layered palate — another score for Midleton.
