Buffalo Bill’s libation.
From the birthplace of the extraordinary U.S. showman William “Buffalo Bill” Cody, Le Claire in Iowa hails this microdistillery Mississippi River Distilling that lays on the banks of the river Mississippi. Put together the idea to recreate the same Rye Whiskey as Buffalo Bill would want to drink, Rye sourced from Illinois and dedication from two brothers and you get yourself a piece of American dream. Started just back in 2010 Burchett brothers are hands on on experimentation and learning from each batch to get the next one one step further.
Cody Road Rye is aged in half-sized barrels to maximize the impact of oak and is made from 100% Rye mash sourced from the Wherry Brothers farm who grow it in Fulton, Illinois. They focus on the value of fresh grains from farms within a half hour’s drive of the distillery. Distilled to honour one of America’s greatest heroes of the Wild West, this drop surely packs just that spiciness and free spirit, enjoy neat or mix in any cocktail that calls for Rye infusion!
