Mackinlay's Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Patrick,
Priced to be a "working man's scotch." I bought it thinking it would be sweet and floral, what i got was a mouth full of smoke. However, I learned to like it mid way through the bottle ;), but i cant recommend it.

Eric,
Great flavor profile. The licorice is subtle but noticeable. Great value.

Michael,
Easy on the nose, vanilla and honey. Lighter in color than I thought it would be. Smooth up front with a slight warmth on finish.

Very light flavor. Small hint of sweetness and floral taste.

Matt,
Pretty good whisky. Honestly, I mainly bought it because of the story behind it, and I was curious to see what Ernest Shackleton's Scotch would taste like. It's a nice blend, better with a bit of ice. Not bad!

A little bit of water or ice reveals strong smokey flavors.

Lawrence,
Extra star because if the story. Something I would break out for friends and a scotch club that didn’t know the story. Moving past the story it is a good scotch. Vanilla. Graham crackers. Apples and oranges.
Mackinlay's Shackleton Rare Old

All I know is the drink taste good but it's wasn't what I order from the picture
Mackinlay's Shackleton Rare Old
Jasson,
Smooth for it's ABV, with a mild attack and sweet finish. The zest and fruitiness mixed with the buttery/toffee finish make for a relatively unique expression. Enjoyable, but not in the way most scotch whisky's are. It's a 7 with a bonus point for being 47% ABV. Well worth it for the price and a fine addition to any bar.

Geoffrey,
Different, but in a good way!
Mackinlay's Blended Scotch Whisky
Ben,
Solid blend. It is easy and pretty with notes of apple and pears. I enjoy this but not as a every day drink. It gets boring after a while.

Chad,
Excellent sipping whiskey and now the unofficial scotch of The Scientific Odyssey podcast.
