Top reviews for The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 2 2019 Release:
— I’ve had very expensive and rare whiskey and this consistently competes. It’s affordable for such high quality. This is my favorite scotch. The flavor is rich and the sip is smooth. I say this whiskey crushes most other whiskeys, even those that are aged much longer and are at a much higher price. This whiskey is usually not hard to find either, which is always a plus.
— Fantastic, this really is a damn fine whiskey. At almost $300 the price is outrages. That being said this thing taste sweet, oakey, with a long silky vanilla finish. Don't ruin this with water. Drink neat.

Ajay,
first rate world class single malt finished in Sherry cask, with trademark Macallan smoke and finish. Heavy hitter. Rich amber red color and thick consistency.
Steve,
Fine, but unimaginative for the price. Certainly no Highland Park the Dark. Or Light. Or, ironically, Flaviar's Highland Park 12 year old. Although it is called Rare Cask, don't mistake that for cask strength. This is watered down already so you'll just take it neat. Sherry dominates. It tastes to me like a weak Kavalan.
Rick,
Delicious 😋
Kent,
Unreal. Smooth.
Tom,
Sherry Bomb. Very easy drinker and good post dinner. However for the cost I prefer other Sherry scotches that are available on the market such as Glendronach 18
Felix,
Macallan Rare Cask is a great work of art in the world of whisky. I am being very stingy with it cause I do not want to run out sooner than normal. The nose reminds me of my childhood attic with a musty sweet aroma that I cant get enough of. The finish is like a symphony of expertly composed violins playing in unison. Masterful.
Evan,
Beautiful single malt
Judah,
A good dram but not befitting its price. There are other choices that are better.
Joseph,
Smooth and flavorfull
Eduardo,
Delicious nose, chocolate, dried fruits, walnuts, vanilla and a bit of oak. A warming sensation equilibrated with a sweet note in the mouth and a long finish. Really nice
Michael,
Vanilla raisin oak , rich and smooth! But not so complex
Christopher,
This is in a league of its own. I know the price is stiff, but treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.
Jitendra,
For the price, age and name... this is one of the best bet.... better than 18 year old
Thomas,
Very good but at this price point I expect a little more than very good. Macallan makes a great product it's unfortunate that almost every bottle I've tried is good but not good enough to justify the price.
Sotirios,
The best I’ve had so far. Shockingly smooth. Expected nothing like the heaven I tasted.
Jason,
Got this as an anniversary present for $375 a few years ago and the flavor is not worth the price.
Javaris,
Absolutely stunning
Ryan,
WOW! Fantastic dram!
It is amazing both neat or with a small ice cube. Incredibly smooth and the tastes of vanilla and dried fruit are obvious but not overwhelming.
Freddy,
By far one of the best whiskeys I have had. This was actually pair with dessert and it was perfect. It is gentle from the tip of the tongue to your stomach. I highly recommend this whiskey to anyone (young or old).
Jesus,

Samuel,
it’ll give you the goosebumps; it’s smooth and yummy-yummy!! yeah it’s permanent on the bar
Michelle,
love the smooth and sweet finish
Joseph,
Amazing. Smooth. Oak and cinnamon up front. Mellow in the middle. Long leathery finish that lingers but does not burn. Mildly peaty. His ruined all other scotch for me.
Loren,
Fantastic Scotch! Best I have had thus far!
Jonathan,
Loved it, just too expensive to drink all the time.
Boyd,
Tasting wheel is pretty accurate. Over time the chocolate becomes even
More pronounced, some moderate spice then milky texture on the back end. Really enjoyed but over priced in the end
Ryan,
This review is for the 9 year old cask strength matured in Sherry casks. Hints of maple syrup and spice, with a smooth finish after the burn!
Ben,
Incredible smooth scotch!!!
Maxwell,
Blue contender but not a winner
Kevin,
It's one of the best I've owned or tasted.
guest,

Raisin, mahogany, leather, chocolate
James,
The best and smoothest I have ever had.
Bob,
Very well rounded. Great from start to finish. Very smooth.
Reginald,
This is a very nice little tipple. Not "M", but a very fine whiskey in its own right.
sarah,
A really fine whiskey. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the biggest Macallan fan, great flavors but not a lot of depth or dimension. Enjoy the 15 more over this one.
Michael,
It's wonderful, when you drink it you will love it for life
guest,
@ robert, arrggghhhhh me hearty! but seriously; i fell in love with a 25 Y.O. MacAllan received as a gift from my Irish employers/friends in 1986 when i was the last bartender out the door as they closed Shaunasee's in Santa Ana that year. Pat and Kevin were great Irishmen but neither had a CPA! i was still partaking of that bottle in 1993. wish i had had the strength to keep it longer. that, and Martell Cordon Bleu are my two favorites liquids of all time.
